When this blows up (perhaps literally), will I be labeled un-American when I say “I told you so”?

IF THIS ARTICLE IS ACCURATE...bringing the terror suspect to NY; then President Obama is today’s STUCK ON STUPID award winner. If this article is not accurate; he is not today’s STUCK ON STUPID award winner.

He doesn’t trust the Military Tribunals? I forgot, he doesn’t like the military. I guess from now on it’s “Take no prisoners.”

If Obama literally were to try this terrorist himself, would it be the first time he’s ever actually used his law degree?

Trial case, to see how well it goes, or doesn’t.

Some lawyers are going to get rich from this, which is what it’s all about.

These charges pre-date 9/11 and are related to the Kenya embassy bombing. The first trial of the people involved in it ended with their conviction but it wasn’t easy, because the court had to find Swahili translators and there were major security considerations. There was a good, no-nonsense judge, though.

I attended a translation conference where the most interesting speaker was a woman who had been married to a Kenyan for a number of years, lived and worked in Kenya, and thus had learned Swahili and was the main interpreter in the trial. They had three interpreters: two to spell each other, and one to oversee the translations and make sure, to the best of his knowledge, that they were accurate.

I’m surprised that the Kenya bombing trials are still going on, and I’m puzzled as to why Bambi would have chosen this one for the first trial.

An official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to disclose the decision, told The Associated Press the administration has decided to bring Ghailani to trial in New York.

Obama probably thought he was prosecuting Guiliani.

So will this idiot be tried under the UCMJ, or the US civil system?

There is a weeeeeee bit of a difference you know.

Me thinks our president knows this. And trying them on our soil will serve whatever his agenda is.

His agenda will NOT be to strengthen this country. His agenda will only be to strengthen himself at the expense of this country. He is using the power of the presidency as a mere toy to do his selfish bidding. He is trying to create the United States of Obama with his warped ideals and vision.

The only use this man has for the constitution of the United States of America, which was intended to be the supreme law of the land, is to wipe his ass with it after he has taken a dump in his royal imperial toilet.

He is an abomination that will bring desolation to this great country.

God Bless America! God Save America!!!!

And when they say "OBAMA TO TRY" they really mean Obama personally!!!! ;-)

Gosh, that guy really is a go-getter, ain't he? Running the country into the ground, running the banks into the ground, running the car companies into the ground, and now running around as judge, jury and attorney...well, I suspect there's a Nobel Prize out there somewhere with HolyO's name on it in the future...mark my words!

It will take one Muslim or America-hating leftist juror to hang the jury. Wouldn’t it be amazing if this guy walks.

How can they have a fair trial when they don't have a jury of their "peers"?

Unless we send them to San Francisco of course.

The problem with trying terrorists in American courts is that, when convicted, they get sent to American prisons. By doing this, President Obama will be effectively arranging the meeting between hardened terrorists and hardened criminals.

With his decision to try terrorists in civilian courts of law, Mr. Obama is proposing to broker the meeting between people who are well-conected to well-financed terror networks, and people who are serving sentences for murder, but who will walk out of prison in 3 to 7 years. Perhaps after having converted to Islam.

The Islamacists are at war with us. Mr. Obama is proposing to give them access to disaffected and violent criminals. The consequences of this action are easily predicable and extremely dangerous.
