I share your anger. These people are disgusting and NOBODY calls them on this stuff. Nobody, except Fox, will utter a sound about this treacherous posturing.

Crap........I was hoping they’d go to Washington or Oregon, or better yet.........Massachusettes.

IMHO the I in C wanted this vote.
He stuck his finger in the wind, saw the public set against turning the prisoners loose and is using the vote to avoid keeping his promise.

Well GITMO is officially the sole problem of the Socialist Democrat Party now.Since they signed the huge stimulus packages to "save us all", so is the economy. They "fixed" it for us.
It's going to be a long 4 years.
To: kellynla
It’s just political cover for Obama.
A complete win-win.

Why doesn't the King just issue yet another executive order to impose his will on the land?

Fresh blow for Obama after Senate defeat over Guantánamo Bay
President Obamas high-profile pledge to shut Guantánamo Bay was shot down by his own party today when Senate Democrats voted to block the transfer of detainees and refused to pay for the closure.
The blow is the latest setback for the Obama Administration, which has already disappointed supporters by announcing that controversial military tribunals for detainees, set up by President Bush but halted by Mr Obama on taking office, will be re-started.
Senators denied the request for $80 million to move the 240 detainees from the US military base in Cuba. They also voted 90 to six to prevent the Administration from transferring any of the facilitys prisoners to the US. ...

If you find out who didn’t vote, please let us know.
I guess Kennedy for sure and of course since they’re short one in MN, that only leaves one? Right??
Thanks,
Kelly
