Please post all information about today's protests here.
My phone is already ringing steadily.
Our AIP folks on the ground at the Notre Dame gates report that the CBR plane is in the air.
You never heard of a multi-pronged attack have you? Some are refuting, yet you’re obstinate, and you are now using to the tried-and-true tactic of name-calling, just like the leftists do. So it’s next logical step.
I am a Christian, and millions of Roman catholics are also my brothers and sisters in Christ. They are Family, though I am not a Roman Catholic. I think it is an institution of Religion, not an arbiter for God. Your mileage may vary!.
There's over a thousand posts on this thread and since I had to play some-catch up I found I had to wade through your off-topic game-playing which slowed me down to a crawl.
The purpose of this thread is to comment on the Obama speech and should be confined to that. It's not a showcase for your theological brilliance and wit. We had enough hope, change, brilliance and wit earlier today.
Folks, please don't reply to Mr. Eagle. It will cause him to implode which may be the most positive thing to happen during this sad, frustrating and poisonous afternoon of obamination. Thank you.
Leni
Thank you, EV, for this thread.
THE NEXT PERSON TO HIT THE ABUSE BUTTON ON THIS THREAD WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR ONE DAY OR MORE.
Mary was chosen by God to bear His son.
Mary, a virgin, became the Mother of God.
Through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
At the wedding of Cana she appealed to her Son and he answered her request. Her words were: “Do what He says.”
Our dying Lord as he hung on the cross told Mary: Behold your Son.
She thus became the mother of us all.
We appeal to her as our Mother in Heaven and we know that she always has her Son’s ear and carries our cares in her Immaculate Heart.
We do not adulate her, we ask for her intercessions and pray that we have her humility, grace and courage to say Yes to whatever God wants of us.
Tell him "thank you" from all of us for his courage in speaking truth to power. He is a man of courage.
From what I heard from Fr. Jenkins speech there was little in reference to the Word of God. Then again, liberal theologians don’t usually rely or heed it anyway from their lofty heights of proclaimed knowledge.
There are 12 fellows that control ND. 6 laymen 6 clerics. 1 is Jenkins and 1 is the Bishop of Peoria, IL, Daniel R. Jenky

I don't see his name among those who opposed. I think most if not all 12 fellows need to be severely punished.
And nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. Might be time to bring forth the Comfy Chair.
Thanks for the link.
You sure had Jenkins pegged, on his fawning of Obama, two days before the speech.
Where did you get their names?
BAck home - missed the real time for prior (happy) commitment. Over a thousand posts. I’m gonna read ‘em all. You’ve done good work!
Yeh...seems like the Virgin Mary was pro-Life ay?
Whatever doctrinal differences are represented on this thread can we cut a little slack on those who wish to honor her? Save the rancor for those feminists and supporters who worship Margaret Sanger!
Yep and that’s the problem today. Everyone forgets that God IS watching. He KNOWS just like Santa...he ALWAYS knows.
This also confirms the measure of the creep. It also indicates the generally sorry state of Catholic higher education.

I dont think I could force myself to listen to that speech again, but it was in the part where he was talking about abortion. Towards the middle or late middle of the speech
Unfortunately, that is the way of most religionists. Protestants, muslims, jews -- many treat their religion as an ethnicity or an "identity" -- a club they joined at birth.
Christ pointed out that many are called but few enter by the narrow gate. To be a true Christian, "you must be born again" -- you must hear or read the scriptures, understand what you are committing to and give yourself heart, mind, soul and body. Few are willing.
Although Catholics like Alan Keyes, Randall Terry, Fr. Norm Weslin, and many others rightfully took the lead in this protest, many Protestants stood right behind them. The spirit of love and cooperation between everybody on the ground in South Bend has been remarkable. These are the sort of events, steeped as they are in constant prayer, that produce revival in a nation.
:-)
They also like to call themselves “Recovering Catholics”. When one refers to him/herself as such at an AA meeting (which happens often), I spit on the floor and walk out. It wasn’t the Church that caused any of their problems.
