I completed my lifesaving merit badge in that pool on the way to Eagle Scout. I've also spent countless hours on the site performing refurbishment and improvements during the time I was in Scouts. The monetary investment and free labor donated to keep that site in top shape is enormous. It is open for use by the public in addition to some specialized support for the Scouts. The attack by the gays and lesbians is simply their manifestation of perverted behavior directed against normal people. The revelation that they claimed "offense" in spite of never having physically visited the site reinforces my belief that it is perverted hatred on their part.

Without the Scouts, having a mostly uninvolved father (except for chore assignment and discipline), I don't know what I would have become. Much of what I am I attribute to the moral and ethical framework, the sense of husbandry for nature and training to fend for myself, provided by the Scouts.
Many of the enemies of what made the United States of America great are easily identified by their enmity and vilification of the Boy Scouts of America.

Just found this through search. I know it’s an old post, but does anyone know what the outcome of this was?
Someone nailed it earlier: Start their own scouts if they don’t like it!!! Sheesh. “Hey, I don’t like what they preach in that church!!” Oh, well, then DON’T ENTER IT!!! Find another church you do like or start your own!!
What is WRONG with this country. Are they going to outlaw apple pie next?
