I read her statement, she is only doing this if it benefits Alaska. I think she is playing it safe, I don’t think she will be socializing with these people, especially after what they said about her yesterday

Well Sarah, I know you mean well, but all you’re going to wind up doing is lending credibility to the worst of the worst one more time.

I’ll wait and see, but I don’t see you changing idiots like McCain, Romney, Graham, Snowe...

Good luck!

Leftists will maintain their political majorities, thanks to, both, RINOs and former RINOs.

I don't think Sara will let these guys walk all over her. Hopefully, she'll send them in the right direction.
Voting for these guys would be a dumb move. Their core values aren't ingrained enough.

This used to be a free country, and I'd like it to be free again. I'd like to keep what I earn. I'd like to think and believe freely without some politician threatening to imprison me for it.

She’ll be a part of it and, if RINOs have their way, her part will be that of doormat!

One small step in the right direction. Now is the time to retire, most, if not all RINO’s and Moderates. Need more like Sarah. Consult people like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams and Rush Limbaugh for additional names of rock solid Americans who believe in the winning ways of conservatism.

Palin's involvement in the group will help rebut the idea that the National Council is an organ of the establishment wing of the party set up to keep the Palins and Gov. Mark Sanford's (S.C.) -- both of whom are more hardline conservatives -- from taking over control of the party.
Baloney.

Palin needs to be on her toes every minute, as most of the GOPer's involved in this still want to marginalize her.

Inviting her to join was not so they could embrace her conservative values and ideas.

This is completely demoralizing, like getting punched in the stomach and having the wind knocked out of you.

She doesn't NEED these clowns. Palin, just focus on your job and talk to the grassroots. Utilize YouTube and make speeches defending conservatism. Why is there a group of Republican losers trying to bring "new direction" to America? Just speak truth to power on conservative principles and the masses will follow. How hard is it to understand?

Sounds like the RINO crowd panicked after seeing the reaction in the Conservative blogosphere and went to her with hat and hand to beg her to join up. I wish that she would have told them to pound sand, like we had originally thought she had done, but oh well.

FYI -- these are Meg Stapleton's words (from the Politico article on this):
Palin "looks forward to doing all she can to bring about positive change many desire and deserve, across Alaska and our great nation, through this National Council for a New America and others," Meghan Stapleton, a spokeswoman for SarahPAC, said in an e-mail.

Stapleton said Palin plans to be involved with the group "as long as everyone knows that Alaska always comes first."

Palin "is focused on moving Alaska forward and pushing for her goals which include providing energy independence and security for Alaskans and Americans," she said.

I read this as an intent to cooperate on her terms -- when, where and how she wants -- but it also signals that she knows she has to engage with the national party. Time will tell if her timing is right.

Like you, I have reservations but I think she knows the score here. If she allows them to use her, she's a fool. I don't think she is and Stapleton's words made no commitment as to when or where she will show up at any of these events.

The RINOs, desperate for attention, will now try and pin her down on that.

I worry about Palin getting this close to the pod people.

After she is forced to chant “We can out-Democrat the Democrats! Yes we can!” for several hours, she may never be the same.

Maybe Ma Palin can influence this National Panel of Experts and and be an asset to this group.

Our National Panel of Experts:

Governor Haley Barbour
Governor Jeb Bush
Governor Bobby Jindal
Senator John McCain
Governor Mitt Romney

These are not the only issue areas where we will engage America, but they form a starting point in our revitalization effort. In the coming months, the NCNA will focus our attention outside of Washington where American families are living and raising their children, working toward the promise of a better tomorrow, and where common-sense ideals are valued over pundits and the political winds. We know America’s best days are ahead, but we need to work hard to ensure that promise. We also know that the American people want choices and alternatives – that there is no one right solution for what America and its people need. This is what our country was founded on, this is what we stand for, this is what we hope the National Council for a New America will provide and we ask our fellow citizens to join with us.

Sincerely,

John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mike Pence, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, John Carter, Pete Sessions, David Dreier, Kevin McCarthy, Roy Blunt, Mitch McConnell, Jon Kyl, Lamar Alexander, John Cornyn, John Thune, Kay Bailey Hutchison

Good grief. One more hopeful joins the Rino fold.

Can’t we just have a viable third party already?

I for one am very surprised they invited her to be apart of their tour. They may well regret their invitation.
