Very true, MWT, but there are also very pious Orthodox Jews who are "yellow dog Democrats" (just like there are still "yellow dog Democrats" among white Southerners).
I've long wondered at the multigenerational hold the DP has on its adherents. It's more like a cult than a political party.

Results are based on telephone interviews with 99,494 national adults, aged 18 and older, conducted Jan. 21-April 29, 2009, as part of Gallup Poll Daily tracking. For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±0.5 percentage points.
It would be nice if the survey was conducted on the last week of April only.

“Pollpaganda. Dont believe it even for a second.”
This is always a popular sentiment here. I remember in 2006 how everyone insisted the polls were wrong and Republicans would pick up seats. I remember everyone predicting how the media would be stupified after Mccain won on election day trying to figure out how their polls were so wrong.
There comes a point where continuing to purposefully disbelieve polls serves no purpose other than, perhaps, to empower the other side. Denying reality, rather than facing it and DEALING with it, will not help conservatives drag the Republican party back out of the dirt.

Yeah, they always have to bribe you with something to vote for those evil scumbags - just like they bribed ‘em this past election with all promises of freebies like “future free health care” and “no taxes” etc.

That’s rapidly changing, and I think came about because it was “hip” in OJ and BT circles to be ignorant of politics (too “worldly”).

How many of these Catholics attend church at least twice a year? Almost all: on Easter and Christmas. Now, if you required three times a year, you'd get a different answer.

They’re probably Easter/Christmas Catholics. Dress up to Show up and have to read from the missal to know how to respond.

I just don’t get the Catholics supporting this abortionist?
You are a D.A.R. member? Ya eve been to D.A.R. Constitution hall? In 1973 I saw the Doobie Brothers there.
Just a block or two from the White House and across the street from the Red Cross.
17th century opera house. Lovely.

No - haven’t been there. When I’m out of school, I will start going to meetings again with my local chapter and try to get involved more. Right now am just too busy with school.
I have seen pictures and it is beautiful.

As a Catholic myself, Ive come to believe that we are a bunch of hypocrites. I guess thats why I stopped going to church and hold my own mass in my heart. With all due respect: The "mass" you hold in your heart is phony and self-serving. You have an obligation to attend mass weekly -- whether hypocrites are there or not, whether you feel like it or not. Hypocrisy is irrelevant. Your feelings are irrelevant. What matters is your duty to God, which requires you to fall to your knees before the Body and Blood of the Lord at least once weekly.
If you pick and choose which parts of Catholic faith to follow, you're doing the same thing as the CINOs who support gay marriage and lady priests. Grow up and do your duty instead of sulking like a teenager.

That's them! Obama voters!

I dont get the Jews at ALL. What in the world is going on with them?
Liberal, Obama-loving Jews ( and that's about 70%) equate conservative with right wing; they further equate right wing with Nazism. If that's not enough, evangelical, "right wing" Christians support Israel so Jews don't want to be in their company. It's as simple as that.

I’m a Jew, and I think if Hitler himself came back and said he was pro-choice and ran against Sarah Palin, 70% of Jews would vote for him.

I remember in 2006 how everyone insisted the polls were wrong and Republicans would pick up seats.
I don't remember that at all. I remember many of us screaming at Bush and his lickspittles in Congress that his position on illegals was killing the party and that there would be hell to pay in November.
Regardless, just remember--polls this far from an election serve only one purpose. They're not to measure public opinion, they are to influence it.
Consider yourself influenced if you believe them.

Thanks, I usually avoid posting on threads like this, I guess I temporarily lost my good judgment.
And I agree with you wholeheartedly.
