American voters oppose 55 - 38 percent a law in their state allowing same-sex couples to marry, but support 57 - 38 percent allowing same-sex couples to form civil unions.
American voters reject 50 - 44 percent the argument that ending discrimination against homosexuals is as necessary today as ending discrimination against blacks was in the 1960s. Black voters say 45 - 44 percent it is as important, while whites say 51 - 43 percent it is not.
Voters support 50 - 44 percent the federal law allowing states to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states, but say 54 - 39 percent that the federal law denying federal spousal benefits to same-sex partners should be repealed.
Society is paying too much attention to the needs of gays and lesbians, 49 percent of voters say, while 21 percent say there's too little attention and 22 percent say it's "about right."
We need to get the word out on this one, because the perverts are going to trumpet the ABC and CBS propaganda.
Looks like 55% of registered voters are unqualified to compete for Miss USA.
And Quinnipiac is a left-leaning poll run by a Democrat.
"Registered voters" are not "voters".....common flaw in Quinni polls.
You get a well-vetted pool of actual voters....and the percentages will go up even more for traditional marriage.
I agree, however it’s better than the “adults” rubric used by CBS and ABC.
Any way you slice it, if these numbers are to be believed, this can’t be good.
In the long run the current polls don’t matter. If there is one state with legal gay marriage, eventually every state will be required to recognize it even if they do not permit locally. It parallels the situation in the 1950s as localities forbidding divorce were required to recognize Nevada divorces. Absent a Constitutional Amendment, The Defense of Marriage Act as a statute cannot trump the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the Constitution. This principle of law goes back to John Marshall.
And that’s even before getting into the issues of Equal Protection that are raised as additional states legalize the matter on their own.
The pro-gay marriage legal groups have been biding their time, allowing matters to mature. I really don’t think it’s too many more sessions before the Supreme Court invalidates the final legal barriers.
I just turned my radio off after listening to Neal Boortz tell us that we needed to “get over” our opposition to gay “marriage”.
You need to get over listening to Neal; I’d recommend Laura she is brighter, more accomplished and you’ll learn more listening to her, in my opinion.
Society is paying too much attention to the WHIMS of Gays and Lesbians. They are “Pride” parades. They are SEX parades.
Boortz is pretty good on some things. But his problem is that he’s libertarian... They cause the problems they later fight against, but they can’t see the connection.
Far more than just being a libertarian, he is a libertine.
Well duh! Every free person who was "allowed" to vote made that perfectly clear.
The FF&C isn't the trump card that the homosexualists think it is.
These pollsters always lean to the left. If they say most oppose homosexual "marriage", then this news is better than it appears. It means more are against it then they say. It must have killed them just to report the numbers they did.
Too bad he doesn’t realize that many people disapprove of gay marriage because they don’t want their kids indoctrinated by their local school system, i.e., California and Massachusetts, with no opt out provision.
I don’t think Boortz could care less about the moral decline of this country. He sounds like a lefty when he defends abortion and “gay” “marriage”. He has nothing but contempt for those in the pro-life movement and those who oppose homosexual “marriages”.
