If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

"he has nice hair", or, "he doesn't beat his dog, that I'm aware of"

ROTFL!

That made me laugh out loud - hard! Thank you!

Palin spoke about feeling allegiance with former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. “He said all the right things about resource development in Alaska,” she said.I wouldn't call that a ringing endorsement of Romney by Sarah Palin. Would you?

After all the evil tactics you and others on this forum and in the movement used against me behind the scenes on the net and in real life for the past nine years, you have one hell of nerve saying anything about a negative comment I made to a poster who has been publicly lying, mocking and berating myself, Romney supporters, and Mormons, good Americans and patriots all, for the past two years.

I'd like to see something supporting this claim of persecution.

The Mittbots have been shown over and over on FR that Mitt is a joke to 90% of FReepers, but they insist on posting every little blog post that his PR people plant in print and on the net.

When met with the usual posts proving that he is a loser, they cry and whine and accuse others of persecuting them....I think they should just save themselves time and effort and post this repeatedly...it has the same effect on anyone seeing their whining.

poor me

Seriously, I’ve never witnessed a gang of people descend on a FReeper like these Mitt Romney followers have done to me on this thread. They lie and try to intimidate those who even question Mitt Romney’s record.

I won’t stand for it, and am serious that I’m watching them and will donate to Romney’s opponents for their actions. I’ll also write letters to organizations about their actions too. These people took me from ignoring Romney all the way to wholly disliking him based on their abhorrent behavior.

See #840. It applies to you to a "T."

Luckily, a majority of conservatives don't think like you or your gang. If we only accepted lifelong pro-lifers, then our movement would be dead in the water and would stay status quo forever.

Excellent post...bears repeating.

I am able to sincerely speak to non-Freepers about Romney and include in the reasons to reject him, the profound lack of ethics and civility exhibited almost exclusively by Romney supporters. The old saying that you can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps, is very true.

So I say Jim Robinson is doing the cause of conservatism a large service by allowing these Romney people to post so vehemently here, because it is abundant evidence of the mindset of the Romney Way. It confirms just how bad Romney is. His supporters are poor sports, poor losers, like children and Liberals use the word "hate" to cast themselves as victims, they blatantly lie and misrepresent the words and intentions of pundits such as Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, and Mark Levin (google Mark's endorsement of Romney sometime, at the end of the primaries ... man, of that's the kind of "endorsement" Romney supporters crow about, then they're pretty desperate ... Levin made it pretty clear that Romney was piss-poor, but the least piss-poor out of a very bad lot). Bad sports and poor winners are equally bad winners, as we all know from grade school sports. The poor sport is as ill-mannered and offensive in triumph -- chortling and cocky -- as he is in defeat -- whining and self-pitying.

The truth is that the behavior and posts of Romney supporters on Free Republic speak volumes about Romney. It is excellent ammunition to educate fellow Republicans and conservatives about the serious flaws in Romney.

That's all you've got? LOL. I didn't say it was an endorsement, did I? She didn't endorse anyone during the primaries. However, to my knowledge, these were the only comments she made publicly about any of the candidates during the primaries. It was a supportive comment about Romney and Paul.

While not an official endorsement, any intelligent person could discern that she wouldn't be one of the people spewing hate-filled propaganda and half-truths about Mitt and, she may have actually voted for him in the primary, as did a majority of her fellow Alaskans. Given that Mitt and Sarah agree on more issues than she and Ron Paul do, that would be a safe assumption. Of course, while all this is kind of interesting, it is totally irrelevant and ignores the main point about intellectual honesty and time spent researching all of the facts. I sincerely wish you good luck with that.

Now you see why this sort of poster is a rabid Romney supporter ... standing against the Romneyesque flip flopping on life issues is deemed defeatest. Romney and his sycophancy are not conservatives, but they insist conservatives accept them anyway! If we will just drop our incessant opposition to slaughtering the alive unborn, in say the embryo age, then we can all get along with Mitt the Magnificent and his sycophancy.

One wonders if Gov. Palin still supports backstabber Bishop Romney
after the carpetbagger, bad sport, sent his agents, followers, RomneyBOTs, and their spouses
to attack, demean, and besmirch the Governor and her children.

Despicable is Team Romney.

I wish everyone WOULD get on the mormon threads and see who is making the personal attacks.

Posting the statements of past mormon leaders and articles from LDS sources is NOT attacking mormons personally and individually, and whining "persecution! persecution!" does not make it so.

The Religion Forum is closely monitored more so than the other FR forums for this sort of behavior. Your posts wouldn't make the cut there.

“... ignores the main point about intellectual honesty and time spent researching all of the facts.” See, Jim, if you would only research the facts regarding Mitt The Magnificent you would drop this silly opposition to their chosen one. How could you oppose such a magnificent ‘politician’ (read flip flopping deceiver) without researching him properly?

These WillardBots are as bad as the hardcore Obamatrons. The difference is with Obama its the race issue his ardent supporters employ to condemn opposition voices on the conservative right. With Romney its the religion issue his supporters bring up when they can't win the argument. Nothing more than a red herring.

For the vast majority of conservatives who oppose Romney, its not his Mormonism that turns us off. Its his unprincipled, two-faced, lying approach to politics that we oppose.

Unlike you, your pal, Sarah Palin, likes Mitt Romney quite a bit and probably even voted for him in the primary (as did a majority of her fellow Alaskans).

1. I like Sarah Palin, but we're not "pals."

2.You have no earthly idea who Sarah Palin voted for in the primary, so your assumption that she chose Mitt Romney because he "said all the right things" is preposterous.

3. I don't like Mitt Romney because of the way the Mitt Romney supporters have treated me on this thread. Prior to this thread, I didn't like his politics and rarely even gave the man a thought, but now I'm convinced he's trouble based on the rabid actions of his followers on this thread.

I don't think there has been a politician more researched by FR members than Mitt, and the vast majority of us have found the facts do not add up to the “truth” his sycophants “share” with us..

Of course they keep trying, have to give them that, and it is fun to watch them flail away..

Oh please, post #840 applies to everyone. For whatever reason people have reached their conclusions on Romney, we will have to respectfully agree to disagree. We can point people to facts that helped shape our opinion -- and those of people like Jim DeMint and Ann Coulter. That's all. Obviously, people can choose to ignore all that -- and they have. It's a free country. After that, we should move on and concentrate on what unites us, not on what divides us.

On that front, I encourage everyone to check out these efforts started by some of my friends which are worthy of our support:
