LOS ANGELES COUNTY - Figures from the Department of Public Social Services show that children of illegal aliens in Los Angeles County collected more than $21 million in welfare and more than $22 million in food stamps in March 2009 -- an increase of $1 million from the previous month, according to a news release from Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
Annually the cost of illegal immigration to Los Angeles County taxpayers exceeds one billion dollars, which includes $220 million for public safety, $400 million for healthcare, and $500 million in welfare and food stamps allocations, according to the news release.
Twenty-four percent of the county's total allotment of welfare and food stamp benefits goes directly to the children of illegal aliens born in the United States, according to Antonovich's statement.
"Illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers," Antonovich said in the statement. "The total cost for illegal immigrants to county taxpayers exceeds $1 billion a year - not including the millions of dollars for education."
So Obama’s plan really is working. Go figure.
Just wait until the same amount of food stamps in March 2010 are $50 million.

The California initiatives we are to vote on in the upcoming election, read them carefully. It is stealing from one to give to another. It is not budget reform. It does not address illegals and the costs to each of us. I am voting NO on all and making them go back to the drawing board and cut for real. None of this stealing to make themselves look good.
In one instance, the money had to be specifically set aside for children's services. No other reason it could be used legally. The communist's found a way to place some of those services in part of a program funded by other tax dollars, then took the funding that was not intended but has no legal terms because they knew they could. So they will say they are still offering the service just in a different fund.
The lottery borrowing will never be given back. We will be taxed for the loss in schools. When the $1500.00 per family hits in new taxes maybe we can get some conservatives elected. My understanding is the lottery pays for benefits to the teachers now. Remember when the lottery could not go to teachers and had to go to children's programs? But they will appeal to the public, union in their pockets, you would deny teachers benefits rather than pay a little more in taxes?

The actions of these individuals and the totalitarian-like fixes and policies remind me of a story told by a tour guide while I was visiting the Palace of Versailles in France. The French aristocracy used to relieve themselves in the corners of the palace, knowing that the palace attendants would clean up after them. I am beginning to better understand the righteousness of the French Revolution and the coming American Revolution.
Just think what the costs will be from the illegal aliens bringing in the swine flu...

Once the children become legal, I’m sure they can petition to have their parents changed to a legal status. Anchor babies should be made illegal.

If an American moves to Mexico legally, that country will not allow him to become a citizen with the right to vote. Yet Mexico demands that we legalize its citizens who came here illegally and allow them to participate in our political process.

My great-great-grandparents came to the U.S. legally. Those who do not choose this route deserve absolutely nothing. They should have every DISincentive for breeding here and have every incentive for leaving here.

and the idiots just keep on paying their outrageous taxes like good little girls and boys. I am having a hard time finding sympathy for any of the them. Our Constitution gave us rights. It’s clear the government works for us, we don’t work for them. The roles have reversed, either people have agreed to accept it or they are too weak to care. Each day I am more and more convinced this country is done for. Time to move on, keep the memories. There are other places that are better than the US now. Socialized medicine, Marxism are unacceptable to me and my family.
