"Very Aggressive" Dengue Fever Outbreak in Mexico
El Universal (Mexico) and original reporting ^ | April 27, 2007 | Greg C.

Posted on 04/26/2009 10:39:17 PM PDT by FreedomFighter1013

So far this year there have been 200 confirmed cases of an extremely aggressive strain of dengue virus in Mexico's Pacific coast state of Sinaloa. The new strain has prompted that state's Secretary of Health to issue a warning to residents to take precautions to reduce its potential spread, by eliminating standing water where mosquitoes breed. Sinaloa encompasses the resort town of Mazatlan.

Secretary Héctor Ponce Ramos, indicated that this year's strain of dengue fever is more lethal than in previous years and may be based on DENV-3 AND DENV-4 strains of the disease, which in theory would yield very deadly results and has only rarely been seen before.

Mr. Ponce said this new strain is more deadly than dengue fever or dengue hemorrhagic fever which the state had experienced in the past. The virus is so severe, patients... (continued here)

I know that this is contracted via mosquito...but did you learn whether or not it can be spread then, human to human (caught from someone who already has it?)

They will soon start heading for the US border...looking for free medical care.

I was thinking the same thing. And others may run here just to avoid further exposure in their country, although they could be carriers already.

Wait, so we leave borders open—not bothering to look for sick travelers (let alone determining their immigration status) and then offer free health care...we are so asking for a pandemic?!

Glenn Beck talked about the collapse of Mexico....an impoverished country, with no government resources...... other than drug cartel proceeds, and official corruption.......

And don't forget: (1) $50 Billion annual remittances from the US (from which the federales take their cut); (2) all the Mexican landscapers and ditch diggers, lolling around in plush condos in Acapulco, collecting several US govt checks, including Social Security, using stolen ID's and SS nos.

==================================

Cong TOM TANCREDO's conversation with Juan Hernandez (Hernandez was McC's Hispanic outreach rep). Hernandez is a dual citizen and headed the Mexican govt's **Ministry of Mexicans Living in the United States. ** Hernandez told Tancredo the purpose of the Mexican govt agency was:

(1) to increase the flow of Mexican nationals to the US to serve Mexico’s needs;

(2) to increase transfers of $50 billion a year (30% of the Mexican GDP);

(3) to alleviate Mexican social instability, and,

(4) to get free training for Mexicans who are expected to repatriate the skills (paid for by US citizens) back to Mexico.

Hernandez supports amnesty. Hernandez told Tancredo: "By populating the US with millions of Hispanics who are tied economically, politically and linguistically to Mexico, we are able to exert enormous influence and pressure on U.S. policy and its dealings with Mexico."

======================================

THE LATEST RIPOFF The bogus Mexican "drug war" is creating a new class of illegal connivers....."refugees" seeking "asylum" in the US. The "persecution" classification was once reserved for those claiming religious or political persecution. Now the Mexican govt is coaching its citizens to pour into the US, whining about "persecution from drug wars"......another way to drain the US Treasury.

THE RIPOFF UP CLOSE Social Security provides outrageous government financial aid to "refugees" claiming "persecution." Keep in mind these people never paid a dime into the SS system; yet, they can collect seven years straight and can get extended payments if they are politically well-connected. The SS checks to these "persecuted refugees" can amount to $1000 a month and more. NOTE WELL Some of these suckups are wealthy people whining about "persecution", squatting on US soil, intent on draining the US treasury.

ACTION NOW Call your reps and demand these payments and the "persecuted refugee" classification be stopped. Call Congress 202-224-3121.

=============================

Legal AND illegal Mexicans are dual citizens, and swear allegiance---first and foremost---to the Third World. The government expects them to return AFTER they drain the US Treasury.

“We have several fruits and vegetables in the grocery stores imported from Mexico.”

I’ve been checking labels and have only been purchasing fruit/veggies from the USA recently. Unfortunately, the only U.S. tomatoes I found are light pink and under-ripe at this point in the season, but oh well. I noticed some local farmers started selling tomatoes, so I maybe I’ll check them out ... at least until my garden starts producing more.

Perhaps "Dark Ages", or even "Stone Age" might be more appropriate.

I've also read in the past several months of a highly contagious strain of tuberculosis in the border areas of Mexico.

I've been to the border many times, it is truly a cesspool.

The odor of raw sewage follows you throughout Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Matamoras. Very dirty border towns.

Very poor sanitation, the water supply undrinkable (certainly to Americans), head lice, the air is hazardous to breath, high rates of birth defects along the Rio Grande due to industrial pollution in the river.

Most Americans have never seen the border. Mainstream America would be shocked at what they would witness if ever to visit the border towns.

It is a lawless place. 3rd world poverty, Drugs, prostitution, government extortion, kidnappings and so forth.

Hell, cops will search your vehicle, after you drive away, your minus a camera or whatever they feel like taking.

Trust me on this, I am a native Texan, the border needs to be shut down. National guard troops need to patrol our border with Mexico.

Thousands of murders have occurred along our border with Mexico in the last several years. More people have died of violence than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined in the last two years.

Over 8000 people.........Our government doesn't even blink an eye.

We are being sold out y'all.

I can’t find the link for this outbreak.

There have been several outbreaks of Dengue Fever in part of Mexico in the past decade.

The Mexican form of Chamber of Commerce has buried that news.

The link below shows the long history of Dengue Fever in Mexico and this area:

Americans must DEMAND that the borders be closed...

If they close the borders, they'd be admitting just how easy it is to do so.

They have the authority and Constitutional mandate to control illegal immigration.

They will let this reach the point where public outcry will be for the control of travel, period.

Then we can have checkpoints and show our papers every few miles.

People will be screaming for this, without even realizing it is in the fine print.

Learn from Porkulus, people!

These people will not waste this 'crisis', either, and will use it to consolidate power if we let them, and especially if we demand it!.

I am thinking that there are some very official type officials who are wanting everyone to be scared crapless of something other than GOVERNMENT for a while, and remember instead that GOVERNMENT is the SAVIOR of all.

I'm thinking they won't waste a crisis, either, and in the fine print of any emergency measure will be the unfettered authority to place any restrictions on travel by anyone, inside and outside the country, for any reason.

If people do not stop and think, they will end up demanding it without even realizing it.

Years ago I met a girl with dengue. To start with, there has long been an alert for it for doctors in southern Arizona. It has weird symptoms, and is not something easily confused with other diseases, except, of all things, influenza. But you also usually get a distinctive rash of red and purple spots caused by clusters of ruptured capillaries. Also diarrhea and vomiting, maybe.

One of its nicknames is “break-bone fever”, because every single joint in your body hurts. Including every vertebrae. Joints can sometimes swell as well. Though it is active for a week, you are miserable for about three weeks. It is somewhat related to Hepatitis C.

The first time out you usually just get sick. But unpredictably it can turn into a hemorrhagic form, like ebola, usually with a second infection. They don’t know why, but if you catch it once, no more vacations South of the border for you.

There is no treatment other than palliatives.

The best bet is to avoid mosquitoes, or raise pet dragonflies.

The collapse of Mexico is imminent. It has been teetering on the brink and shored up by our Gov. and others but principally ours. That said we can’t afford to help them any more . And we can’t afford for them to fail either. We are in a classic catch 22.
