The new strain has prompted that state's Secretary of Health to issue a warning to residents to take precautions to reduce its potential spread, by eliminating standing water where mosquitoes breed. Sinaloa encompasses the resort town of Mazatlan.

Secretary Héctor Ponce Ramos, indicated that this year's strain of dengue fever is more lethal than in previous years and may be based on DENV-3 AND DENV-4 strains of the disease, which in theory would yield very deadly results and has only rarely been seen before.

Rachel Carson’s name should be right there with the Stalin’s and Hitler’s of the world as responsible for the deaths of millions.

Danmit Janet, close the border.

Janet is more concerned about preventing returning veterans from reentering the country after their tour of duty.

Interesting blog.

In the post underneath this one the guy is calling the flu a manufactured virus. I wish I knew enough microbiology to know whether perps can make the virus able to thrive in high temps and humidity. It seems to be doing just that.

A large part of the reason that diseases which were all but eliminated in this country have come back is because of illegal Mexicans.

The subject matter of Michael Savage's original 1994 radio demo tape.

I was thinking the same thing. And others may run here just to avoid further exposure in their country, although they could be carriers already.

We have several fruits and vegetables in the grocery stores imported from Mexico.

It’s bizarre that you can’t take a dog or fruits/vegetables to, OR FROM, most other countries without quarantine, but people? What diseases? What parasites? Come one, come all !!

Americans must DEMAND that the borders be closed...even then it may never happen.

If they close the borders, they'd be admitting just how easy it is to do so. US citizens would then demand the unthinkable: speedy deportation of the rest of them. A huge chunk of the Demoncrat voter base - gone.

I think the pols would rather let plague cull the herd (saves on Social Security and health care) than close the borders to their constituents.

Ya think?

I am thinking that there are some very official type officials who are wanting everyone to be scared crapless of something other than GOVERNMENT for a while, and remember instead that GOVERNMENT is the SAVIOR of all.

Thats what I think.

In 2008 there were outbreaks of hepatitis A in the state of Queretaro, and Dengue Fever in Durango State and the municipalities of Jalisco, including Puerto Vallarta. As of December 2008 600 cases had been discovered, but that’s nothing but Mexican jumping beans when compared to the 67,000 cases discovered in 2007! Dengue fever is a flu-like illness which can be complicated by haemorrhages or shock, it is transmitted via mosquito bites.
