100 days in office, coronated Messiah

Given all the hoopla and high expectations surrounding the new president, it's easy to overlook how he has shifted since the election in both tone and substance.
As we approach the 100-day mark of his presidency, Barack Obama has broken or bent many tenets of his campaign, including promises on war, spending and good government.
In terms of tone, Obama promised to be a hope-filled change agent who could fix our politics and "heal a nation." He would do it by refusing to appoint lobbyists to his administration, increasing transparency in government, and forging new bipartisan consensus. His campaign promised to strengthen government checks and balances by limiting the use of presidential signing statements, mandating public review of legislation, and vetoing wasteful congressional earmarks. Yet none of those promises survived his first 100 days.
Even before he was sworn in, Obama picked several lobbyists for top administration jobs, including major cabinet deputy secretaries. When challenged to explain and produce the waivers that permitted those nominations, the administration dragged its feet, bending only after embarrassing questions from the White House press corps.

Sure, he can’t walk on water after all; but the real blame for the catastrophe which is this administration goes to the legions of suckers who believed he could - together with the deceitful media hacks who propagated that idiotic lie.

I think by the time ‘12 rolls around, everybody will be mad at him.
The question is, can the country survive until then ?

BFD. If logic and facts meant anything in American politics, Barry Soetoro would be weaving grass hats on a beach in Hawaii, or Indonesia.
Or having been disbarred for making false statements on his Illinois Bar Application, he might be clerking in a convenience store in Chicago.
Instead, a little more than half of our fellow citizens have seen fit to make him POTUS, while the rest of us are dazed and confused and wondering just who the hell this guy, born a British subject, actually is.
He be the President.

True, but when you consider that this person is the most incompetent, ignorant, deceptive and hate America President we have ever had, it is not quite as surprising.
My goodness, an honest article about 0bama’s first 100 days in an actual newspaper. I guess everyone who works there is now a pariah in the news business.
