The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama’s trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico’s anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn’t confirm if Solis had swine flu or not.

Sorry, I'm finding it hard to believe the claims of bio-terrorism. Terrorism, by its definition, is the spread of psychological terror as well as physical violence. In order to truly be "terrorism," the population would need to know without a doubt that there is an enemy's hand prints all over the situation. That's why terrorists go for the "big bang" type of advertising - so there's no question they had a hand in it and the fear of their tactics debilitates the population. If terrorists were going to resort to bio-terror, it would likely include a bomb or something like crop-dusting the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles at rush hour. Something like spreading Swine Flu from Mexico is a bit too subversive.

Now finding headless bodies scattered all along the border... that's a different story.

I’m a transplanted New Yorker living near Atlanta, GA. I recently met a lifelong Georgia fellow and was easing into some political discussion.

I had no idea what his political bent was so I was being cautious.

He told me he didn’t care for anything Obama stands for or has done, but he will be forever indebted to him for one thing.

Yes, I just checked Google for the lastest news on him and it said he was released sometime yesterday. So I guess all is well. It is just strange why the hospital wasn’t disclosing what he had (which I guess they can’t). News outlets speculated possible food poisoning.

BTW: ON a separate thread dealing with a BBC report, there is a doctor in Mexico who has stated that DESPITE receiving the Tamiflu he had two interns who still died, and he is stating that the number of infected health care workers (who all received the flu shot) is being massively underreported.
