The arrival of a black First Lady in the White House might have been greeted with celebration around the world, but the similarly historic debut of Walt Disneys first black princess has not been received so warmly.
The studio, known for its wholesome and predominantly white family values, has made several changes to its first African-American princess, Tiana, who will star in a new animated film this Christmas entitled "The Princess and the Frog," amid accusations of racial insensitivity.

No matter what you do, you can’t keep the race warriors happy.
So how is it before the Rev. Al is picketing Disney?
what a bunch of pu$$ies!
It's time for a whole lot of people in the country to suck it up and get over it!
You know it is possible to overdo, and I think that's where are right now with this politically correct nonsense.
That's insensitive to humanity.
Disney has been crawling on its belly for years to both race pimps and gay mafiosi. I doubt if this wasn’t a completely willing strategy.
Just beause they have her in a football uniform should not be a problem.
Nope. First they complain that the dolls are all white, which somehow gives a wrong message to kids. Now they complain that a doll is black, implying it is somehow disprespectful.
This reminds me of something that happened some years back. One of my kids had an over the top PC English teacher. She was raving on about white privilege, and she said something like, "And another thing... why are all of the bandaids white?" My kid said it was simple marketing--if more people wanted them, then there would be black bandaids. She started to go off on him, but he pointed out that we had been in the Bahamas the previous summer, and guess what -- the bandaids were all brown. And they were made by the same companies that make white bandaids in the US. That shut her up... for a couple of minutes, until she moved on to her next gripe.
Yeah, I want to hear from Blackie O in the White House about this movie.

White family values: AKA as the corenerstone of Western civilization.
Not what might “black” family values be?
Originally, the princess was a chambermaid named “Maddy.” Now she’s an aspiring restaurant entrepreneur named “Tiana.” Apparently Maddy the chambermaid was too similar to Mammy the mammy. Good grief.
The film is set in New Orleans and the plot includes a voodoo witch. I suppose that’s racist too.
Oh and the prince isn’t black enough either. (He has olive colored skin.)
Give me a break!
You mean they don't call it the "honky hut"?
I wonder if they’ll use Frogman Henry’s “Ain’t Got a Home” song. That is a great song, Rush used to play it more way back when.
My God, you just cannot make this stuff up.
