The teacher barricaded himself inside the classroom, saying, I have a date with God,... A date with God..you betcha he does - a final judgment date where his threat to the school and children won't be protected by any teachers' union. This will be followed by a date with the devil, and eternity spent in his hot "rubber rooms".

The best part of being from the Bronx is that the word from implies no longer.I lived in the Bronx up till 1947, went to school there in the early 60's. It was pretty nice. Those days are GONE!

When are we going to get stricter bomb control laws?
At least he’s following the gun-free-zone rules, so guns won’t kill people here. Thank goodness for those strict gun control laws! This is proof the gun laws work! /lib hat off

He’ll be back to work on Monday. In New York, the only way a teacher loses his teaching job is if he dies or retires.

No - that was a bit before my time. The Grand Concourse I can’t forget - I worked there, went to the movies there, had friends who lived on the GC. The Bronx was truly a great place to live and then, suddenly.......... :(

NYC should be ashamed. Some people spend years in this holding tank, with full salary and benefits.
