Just read an AP report: the percentage of Americans that think the country is on the right track rose to 48% in March as compared to 40% in February. In light of the unemployment rising, the debacle in foreign affairs etc, I found it unlikely. So I looked into the details of the poll.
73% of the Democrats polled thought we were on the right track
17% of Independents
10% of Republicans
That made it even more suspicious as to how those numbers could result in a 48% overall right track vote.
So digging deeper, it turns out
36% of those polled were Democrats
18% Republican
26% Independent
18% None claimed
In the 2008 election the spread between Democrats and Republicans was 6.5 percentage points not 18 and independents made up 22% of the vote not 26%.
It appears that there have been similar distortions in the various polls measuring Obama's approval ratings.
I suspected as much. These people have no shame and unfortunately the vast majority will not even question it.
The AP is a credible source for political news? Who knew?
Great post....if wholly unsurprising. You should shoot this over to Hannity and O’Reilly at Fox News. Nicely done.
I can’t even remember the last time I believed any poll coming from the MSM.
Chomsky is right! Manufacturing consent! /s
It figured they fudged the numbers. Even the libtards I know are not happy with the Obama.
I’ll approve if he runs away to Kenya to live in a hut down by the river with his bro.
Great job! I still think the DemocRATs used voter fraud to make their polls look right in 2008. When we had ACORN voter fraud in OK, then it is pretty much everywhere. Even then they couldn’t get one county to go for ZERO!
Would love to know the number of LEGAL voters versus ILLEGAL that voted in 2008.
Exactly what Chris Matthews rattled off tonight as he marveled at the popularity of his tingle giver.
American Thinker and Canadian Free Press are outstanding.
The Dems are manipulating every poll with the exception of probably Rasmussen and at times Zogby gets some things right. The one AP oddly said O’s on if he is doing well is 17% for independents?
People on the street, unless they are totally clueless, know that something is very wrong. They are either unemployed or know one or a few people who are. I know people who have never been unemployed in their life who are out of work. It is a nightmare.
For people say well it was while Bush was in office - wrong. This is 2006 pelosi & Reid - NO Energy Policy (no drilling, no offshore, no nothing) which drove prices to $4.50, CRA/Fannie/Freddie setup fraud to wipe out the financial markets helped by soros AND total collapse of confidence starting in June 2008 when Hillary was out.
The smart money in the market had a fire alarm go off then. Business saw what was going to happen and people STOPPED spending based on the expectation O might win.
This NIGHTMARE is O and the Dems baby. It is ALL theirs.
Liars figger and figures lie.

You ever wonder if the Savings and Loan crisis, and the Clinton’s fingerprints in it, were a test run for today’s so called financial meltdown?
Have him quit being an America hating commie douche bag!
Maybe resign and go back to Kenya too.
In the broader sense, the game goes
1. Create a pointed poll.
2. Report the poll that you just created as if it is “breaking News!”
The result is a pro bono front page “Rah! Rah! America loves Obama” piece, created out of thin air.
And the media, scratching its head, wonders, Why does nobody believe us anymore?
In my best Jed Clampit voice...
We gave them scientific, mathematical “proof” that what we want to believe is “true”, is in fact “true”.
“Maybe resign and go back to Kenya too.”
bttt
“Independents” confuse me. I know plenty of conservatives who do not associate themselves with the Republicans, and plenty of liberals who don’t like to be called libs (usually they call themselves Progressive or some such). Would be curious to see how the numbers break inside the Independent column.
