If the much respected Dr. Sowell has deigned to write for WND, I guess the site can't be all bad. The broader the variety of people who are more apt to come across his writings from various sources, the better for the conservative cause. I love to read Dr. Sowell's essays!

WND does break some good stories. I’m just glad they quit advertising embarrassing crap. I had an email exchange with Joe Farah about that but he eventually did the right thing. I must say I’ve been impressed with the improvements to the quality of news on the site and Joe never let the issue of the Ramas and Compean drop.

I don’t know about that, DHY2K. I’ve seen a few on here dissing WND. I’ve never understood their dislike.

I’ve seen WND really screw up at times but for the most part they are honest journalists. They have broken many stories the MSM would either have buried or spun.

Having authored 28 books, ranging in topic from classic economic theory to judicial activism, from civil rights to choosing the right college, Sowell's writing has been judged so impacting that it will outlive the great majority of scholarship done today.
Ungrammatical, but true.

The only people that have a problem with WND are leftist, libertarians, atheists, homo activists..

I'm none of the above-- with the possible exception of libertarian-- I do agree with some of their views.

I started reading WND pretty early on, and eventually came to the conclusion that it was dominated by sensationalized, self-aggrandizing crap. They seemed to myopically latch onto every possible conspiracy theory out there-- regardless of how far-fetched.

Between that and the plethora of in-your-face advertisements-- a lot of which disguised as actual interesting articles-- I finally gave up on them.

I certainly don't understand why you think libertarians wouldn't like WND. The entire site seemed to have a distinct libertarian bent to it. They even had a sponsored link that would ask you questions to determine where you were on the political spectrum (or which quadrant). Regardless of how you answered the questions, you'd magically find yourself somewhere within the libertarian quadrant.

I haven't read them in years. Maybe they've changed. Maybe they've switched directions. Maybe I'll give them another chance.

Chuck Norris writes a weekly commentary there, He said he’d run for President of the Republic of Texas should we decide to break from the union.

Glad to see Dr. Sowell added to WND. I think they’ve gone a long way to establish credibility.

With Chuck Norris and now Dr. Sowell their line-up of responsible commentators is growing.
