How bad a representative does Perez Hilton make for the pro gay-marriage cause? Even the Today show, normally a reliable bastion of political correctness on social issues, seemed more sympathetic to Miss California when both were interviewed this morning. Making his case against Carrie Prejean, Perez proffered a pastiche of personal insult and intellectual incoherence. In contrast, Miss California took the high road, putting personal integrity ahead of temporal achievement.
Hilton was in a hole even before the live interview began. Today ran a clip of Hiltons comments from yesterday in which he called Prejean a dumb bch.
When Perez appeared, questioned by Matt Lauer, his answers were an inconsistent jumble. When Lauer asked if were ushering in a new era . . where these contestants are going to be subjectively judged on political and moral and religious beliefs, Hilton replied I hope not.
But just a few minutes later Hilton declared that Miss USA is not a person thats politically incorrect.
So which is it?

Perez Hilton so lame, even Today show more sympathetic to Miss California ping to Today show list.
Hilton was in a hole? I’d say that’s a bad choice of wording. It also seems unlikely as he has “Power Bottom” written all over him.
Miss California has won the principles pageant.
I really don’t think the fix is in on this one, but, Perez Hilton just gave Carrie Prejean more positive publicity than she ever would have gotten by winning this dumb contest. So, good for her.
Well said.
The real news should be Miss North Carolina’s regurgitated pabulum answer about tax money going to education and welfare. Where’s that in the Constitution? How about providing for National Defence.. HELLLLLOOOOOOO!?!
I’m sure Miss NC made her teachers very proud. She’s everything I’d expect.
Puke.
“Carrie Prejean more positive publicity than she ever would have gotten by winning this dumb contest. So, good for her.”
Agreed, and Carrie herself said as much to Lauer, observing that she wouldn’t have been there this morning talking to him if she had won.
Expecting beauty pageant contestants to be your "rough men willing to wreck violence upon those who would harm our nation" is setting the bar a bit high, and is perhaps symptomatic of someone who is underachieving and afraid to stand up for such principles yourself.
I don't expect Shakespear when I go see a Hollywood action fest.
I don't expect Michelangelo when I pay a drifter to paint my barn.
At some point in life, you've either got to have realistic expectations of others...or else live in complete frustration.
California does not deserve her. She needs to come to a pro-America state like Tennessee. I say this as a former Californian.
OK, I must admit that I don’t know who the heck Perez Hilton is or what he has done with his life that is noteworthy. Clearly, I haven’t missed much. Nevertheless, I saw this segment on the Today show this morning and was astounded at the complete inconsistency in his arguments. On one hand, Miss USA shouldn’t be political and yet on the other, he asks a deliberately loaded political question. All I can say is, “Dude, go get a real job in the real world.”
Good grief, it’s a freakin’ beauty pageant. Since when is a beauty pageant a referendum on the politics of the moment? I thought it was all about the swimsuit competition anyway?
Palin/Prejean 2012!
Mainly because people like Perez like to stir things up wherever they go. Not like creating a party like atmosphere, more like always looking for trouble and starting it however they can.
Instead of getting into the positive spirit of things, that dipwit decided to ask a loaded question and stir up trouble.
This hilton is a homosexual and has revealed more about the mental instability that accompanies this illness than I could ever state.
Anyone who would let a homosexual have access to their children after viewing this video is a liberal or worse.
We should make a big deal about this. KABC in Los Angeles is making a big deal.
Perez peddles gissip and sleeze. Why was he ever chosen for the job.
Was the girl better off to LIE? Apparently, avccording to liberals, yes.
He's merely a silly, bitter little man, that somehow, some people give a rat's patoot what he thinks and what spews out of hit mouth.
