Well, I’m sure they had their “Baghdad Bobs” back then, too... :-)
The point is, a majority of Americans have VERY deep and serious problems with a fascist Federal government in Washington D.C. that is owned by Goldman Sachs and run by a bunch of metrosexuals who HATE 95% of the people who are Americans. Its all about them, folks. And, we have become their tax paying serfs. At some point, the shit hits the fan and the people decide enough is enough. Hopefully, this will happen in November of 2010 at the ballot box. But, I'm not holding my breath because every election seems to go 50/50 and then to the leftist courts for award to the Al Frankens of the world.
Ask yourself... do you want to be fellow citizens with people who think Obama and Al Franken are leadership material? I don't.
I'd move to Texas in a heart beat if it happened.
No problem. The 375 can move to Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or Mexico. Problem solved
They see us as their slaves. They force us to pay everyone else's debts before we even see our paychecks. It's as if they throw us a piece of bread twice a day and expect us to be happy about it.
it’s legit....just went here.

It gives you the sample size you would need for a given population. So for a 95% confidence and +/- 4% error you would only need a randomized sample of 600 people for a population of 27 million. Now the issue is, how did they get these 600 people?
Statistics is a beautiful thing.
You were saying — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania were Soviet states for “all eternity.”
—
And that was true for as long as there was a “Soviet Union”... But, as we all know the Soviet Union ceased to exist, as a result of *internally dissolving*... Once that happened, then various different states went their own way.
In this case, you still have a “United States” and a war was fought in which certain states *thought* they had a right to secede — but — found out that they did not have that right, and were forced back into the union and had to swear allegiance to that union and gave up the right to secede.
That’s the situation now.
BUT..., if the United States “internally dissolves” like the Soviet Union did, then all bets are off. As long as the United States exists, however, states will not be allowed to secede.
Well, bad as things are, leaving the Union is kind of a last resort, isn’t it?
Better to take back our country than leave it.
Plus the whole thing seems to have turned into a Rick Perry moment, and I can’t get very enthusiastic about that.
You guys should stop worrying about sample size. Polls are estimates. Nothing wrong with that. All the poll says is that roughly 1/4 of Texans would consider leaving the U.S. Maybe it’s really 30% or 20%. So what? It’s still a very big number.
“It’s gonna blow”
Want to see why graphically?
Look at this map. Absolutely amazing.

The government will have two choices. Soweto, where they shoot some citizens and then world pressure causes them to cave. Or, peaceful dissolution where we just go our separate ways. The world would LOVE to see the USA dissolve into smaller more manipulative states. Russia has already predicted our dissolution.
For those who still believe in the American Dream, though, you may want to start voting GOP. And, GOP... you may want to find some candidates with IQs above 16...
As fair as he is claimed to be (Rasmussen)... this is total BS. I may have been gone for a decade, but ALL of the voices I hear and talk to back in Texas support separating from the ‘union’... unless control from the people is put back into place like the original forefathers intended.
You said — Better to take back our country than leave it.

Plus, “Manifest Destiny” always had a nice ring to it, I thought...
If I lived in the great state of Texas, I would vote to Secede in a heartbeat.
I don’t think they will ever would pull this off, but if it seriously looked like they were, I would pack up before breakfast and be on my way to the hill country.
Heck, I am thinking of buying a Texas flag, as Old Glory came down January 20th and will not go back up until those traitors in DC are out of power.
About 3 years ago, I had gone on a cross country trip on one of my Harley’s. I met some very good folks all across this country during our month long travels. About 30 folks in Texas made my wife and I me feel at home and treated us like royalty.... I was most impressed. I was amazed at how much those Texans love their state and know it’s rich history.
When they say, “Don’t mess with Texas”..... they truly mean it.... and I think I now know why they insist on that.
He planted the seed. That's the important part.
They told me to tell you they will be over just as soon as they are finished interrogating my elderly parents and ransacking the house in search of white supremacist hate literature like The Bible and old church bulletins.
Eh... no thanks.
As a Texan, I can say the results are probably accurate. Texans do not want to secede from the Union. They love the United States of America. However, the nature of Texans is to do what must be done. If the situation in the country continues to deteriorate and the constitution continually subverted, then...secede we will if secede we must.
Don’t underestimate that 25%. That’s pretty big, considering S has not really HTF yet.
That interactive job loss map is incredible.
I’ve told family and friends back home that they ought to consider relocating to Texas because of the better economy and jobs situation here, but this map communicates it a whole lot better than I ever could.
As bad as it all seems to be, it’s interesting to note that the Southwest and Central states haven’t been hit nearly as hard as the Eastern states and California.
No coincidence there.
