I just realized that same tree is still there in front of the former Weather Underground bomb factory, 39 years after the explosion. I'm sure a tree ring core taken from the house side would reveal evidence of the event. Again, it's the house that now has a modern angular bay window.

I saw a lot of [A]sians and [H]ispanics...

One can't "see" someone and tell if he/she is Hispanic or not. People of Hispanic origin aren't defined by the color of their skin. You would have to interview and get the family history.

True, but the people I was referring to were most definitely Hispanic. Trust me. So there were likely a lot more Hispanics there that weren't obviously so. Quite a few proud and patriotic Black Americans too. Several were very vocal in their support of America. Here below is one such Black American woman I photographed and talked to. The pics didn't come out too good, however. That's why I didn't included them above. I tossed nearly 100 pictures away because they didn't come out good on my not-so-great 1.3 MP cellphone camera.

The police at our protest were very friendly. They were waving and chatting with passersby. I think some of them were right-wing extremists as well.

The banner she is waving, btw (Black woman in post 43), says “Don’t Thread On Me” (see the 3rd picture at the top). She’s also wearing a red, white and blue scarf on her head. She was with a friend, another BA woman who was also very vocal in her support of America. Both were very much anti-Obama. In addition, there were some Black American men there who also spoke loudly in support of the conservative agenda. One I spoke to was a big Mark Levin fan. Another who I passed had on his shirt, “GOP”. And one of the speakers alongside Newt was a Black man. Many others there as well. But since I’m not a mind reader, I can’t say what they thought of the event. Hopefully, they weren’t proponents of Reverend Wright’s and Bill Ayers’ Black Liberation! :) Black Liberation is a revolutionary communist front movement which uses bogus religions to advance the communist agenda. See my FR Home page for more info on that.

Not surprised at all that there were some black Americans there. We need to point that out in anticipation of kneejerk leftist slurs to the effect that the Tea Parties were “racist” or “lacked diversity.”

Mega cheers to that Chinese guy...

He is not alone. Some of the greatest activists and most ardent supporters of the anti-left, now anti-Obama, movement in the US are immigrants who have experienced communism up close and personal in their native countries. They have a better understanding of current events in the US than most native-born Americans.

Newt Gingrich, who was a speaker at this event in NY, said on Fox News the next day that there were an estimated 12,500 people there.

Made me smile. Protestors in suits and overcoats.

Tells the truth, movement is spread across the spectrum.
