ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's father is taking the 19-year-old father of her grandson to task for not helping to pay for the baby's care.
In the issue of Us Weekly magazine to be released Friday, Chuck Heath says Levi Johnston is capitalizing on national interviews but not spending money on Tripp, the nearly 4-month-old son of Johnston and Bristol Palin, the governor's 18-year-old daughter.

Stop idolizing that incompetent woman. Could it be that the people who don’t like Palin are the same people who would actually like to see someone with the skills to get the job done. You are a Palin drone. I am so sick and tired of being called a Mittbot. Palin drones will destroy what is left of the Republican Party. Don’t listen to Rush, he needs to get his own life in order, right now the guy has no personal life at all, he has no wife, no children. The guy knows jack about life, he is not a good judge of character, just another desperate middle aged man. Who doesn’t think with his brain. Sure, he has the right conservative political views. But so what, so do I. His personal judgment sucks.

The accusation applies if any father abandoned his family for a “newer model” in order to “be happy”.

Much like the original poster I was responding to, Palin detractors constantly engage in hyperbole.
No one is idolizing her.
She is, for the most part, consistently correct on the issues, does not waver or constantly change her position based on which way the political winds are blowing (Mitt) and has a great delivery.
Mitt, on the other hand, has at least 2 positions on every issue near and dear to conservatives and has supported such onerous things like socialistic health care, Bailouts, and is now wavering on Amnesty.
The difference between Mitt and Sarah you may ask?
Sarah is a leader and Mitt is a swarmer politician.
Oh, and calling me Palin drone, while stating that you are "sick and tired of being called a Mittbot" is hilarious!
If you cannot see the hypocrisy in that statement, there's not much hope for you.

According to rodeo-mamma Palin and Rush Limbaugh are idiots destroying the Republican Party. But Mitt Romney is just awesome and fabulous. Maybe rodeo-mamma like Mitt’s principled support for homosexuals, abortionists and socialist. Yep. Those are the credentials we need for the Republican Party. Rodeo-mamma probably also likes Meghan McCain.

[Rush Limbaugh's] personal judgment sucks.Nope.
This guy's personal judgement sucks. Attending a fundraiser for the baby-killing Planned Parenthood... what was Mitt Romney thinking?
Sure, he has the right conservative political views. But so what, so do I.
Nope.

YOur # 43....boy, do I agree!
Sarah is digging her own grave by not controlling the yaps of her family as much as humanly possible. Other politicians are successful at this, why not she? It's an age-old problem in political families but it does not always need to be. It's a problem that comes with the territory.
Bristol is better off not accepting a dime right now from the ex-boyfriend. Let him put money in a trust for the baby. The less contact she has with him, the better, even more so in anything regarding money. It's always a bone of contention....and more fodder for the tabloids.
I assume she and the baby are living for the time being in the big family home on the lake. I don't think anyone will starve in this arrangement.

Who would have guessed that this thread would have developed into a Palin-bashing, pro-Romney altercation? Gee.

She did nothing foolish; as far as we know she reported what she new AT THE TIME was the truth. Probably more wishful thinking than actual fact.
To: GovernmentShrinker
Child support and visitation are two completely separate legal issues. One is not contigent upon the other.

Heavens, no, but like virtually every other thread that mentions Palin, this thread has drawn some of the pro-Romney crowd. As usual, that results in Palin-bashing.

Better get used to it. I have a feeling this next nomination process will be more brutal than the last.

“Stop idolizing that incompetent woman.”
You have never achieved a fraction of what Sarah Palin has. Her competence is public record.
What have you done in your life, Ms. Insult Thrower?
To: Non-Sequitur
Probably more wishful thinking than actual fact.
I see another mind-reader has joined the fray
Where did you get the training giving you the ability to read the minds and motives of peoples hearts?
I ask because there is zero evidence to support your opinion.
Is this a God-given talent, or are you just show-casing your dislike of Sarah?
Probably more wishful thinking than actual fact
I could say the same for your opinion, mostly wishful thinking on your part.

I like the way people who justify Palin are always smarter then her. I am always given some sort of an in IQ standard to meet that Palin herself obviously doesn’t meet either, yet she wants to be president! By the way, I called you a Palin drone on purpose, it was to let you know how it feels. I don’t like calling names, I know it is wrong. But you are right about one thing, Palin is right on the issues, I just don’t think she is qualified. She can’t express herself the way a leader should be able to. Her supporters makes too many excuses for her. Millions of people have the right view on the issues, who of them is fit to lead? Not Palin. Having the right views isn’t enough. I see lotts of enabling going on for Palin, who in my view has gotten by on the Barbie card, delibertly. And that’s just wrong.

I'll take her way of expressing herself anyday over the GOP pretenders wanting to be President.
She has the proven ability to excite the base in ways that neither Newt or the Mittster have and I assume both wish they have.
It is also the reason why many of the Palin detractors on this site are continually attacking her, because their candidates are a weak comparison.
You apparently have not seen the Sarah the rest of us have.
Except for a relatively few stumbles, she has been awesome in her delivery.
To: GovernmentShrinker
Regardless of if he pays or not, he has a right to see the child - all state’s laws that I have read bear that out. Non payment of child support is not a defense for not allowing visitation to an NCP. I highly doubt AK law is any different.
Talk about the moral angle all you want, the legal angle is that she must allow court ordered visitation (if that exists), and he can get it ordered if it doesn’t - regardless of his status of supporting the child.
If CS is ordered, then you can bet visitation is too.

The notion that only Mormons could support Mitt Romney is ludicrous. That's true. Gun grabbers and baby killers couldn't help but like him too.
