ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's father is taking the 19-year-old father of her grandson to task for not helping to pay for the baby's care.
In the issue of Us Weekly magazine to be released Friday, Chuck Heath says Levi Johnston is capitalizing on national interviews but not spending money on Tripp, the nearly 4-month-old son of Johnston and Bristol Palin, the governor's 18-year-old daughter.

I think it is germane because Sarah is a big player in the Republican party and for the 2012 election. The press she gets, and the response to it, will make a difference. For example, one of the main reasons I can’t support Newt is due to the very negative way he treated his wives, and his casual divorces.

Bristol Palin dodged a really ugly bullet. Be thankful. Don’t ask him for anything just keep putting distance between you.

There is no reason this baby needs to have every loudmouth below him on the family tree bleating to the likes of gossip rags like Us Weekly.
Close your doors, shut your traps, and keep your family business to yourself.

“of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin” is a prepositional phrase, therefor the sentence should read “The father of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is taking the 19-year-old father of his great-grandson to task...”

Freeper divorced Dads - this is what happens when you abandon your families and you fail to raise your own children - they grow up to be good-for-nothing [less than] worthless trash like Levi Johnston. Well, thanks for clearing that up. My 2 sons live with me and the ex is shacking up with the latest boyfriend, but I'm glad you took the time to insult all of us "Freeper divorced dads".
I guess you figure we had it coming.

Exactly. I wouldn’t want an SOB like Levi near my child. I would pay a lawyer to get him to sign off on visitation rights & not take child support gladly.

I'm trying to figure out which one of your sterling qualities outweighs the other, is it IGNORANCE or perhaps it's ARROGANCE, but I'm leaning towards the simpler explanation of perhaps you just left your brain in neutral while your fingers on the keyboard were in gear.
You're gonna make a lotta new friends with THAT post. LOL

Amen! We opted to not pursue child support for the very reason that it would place my oldest son in the hands of his biological father. We severed all ties and it was the best decision we could have ever made.
Obviously Bristol won’t be able to sever ties with Levi, given their notoriety, but hopefully, she’ll find a judge that will take into account Levi’s character issues and Levi’s mother’s drug charges.
Levi’s family really fits the profile of a time-honored Alaskan term - Valley trash.

No, not a Mormon, never been a Mormon, have no relatives or close friends who are Mormon, never been to Utah. Mitt would be light years better than Sarah, of course, because he’s an experienced executive who has demonstrated substantial success in both the public and private sectors. But, excepting Edwards and Kerry who are amoral buffoons, pretty much all the early Republican and Democratic contenders for the Presidential nomination have a lot more to recommend them for the job than Sarah Palin. Even Hillary, who I absolutely abhor, but at least she knows how to get things done, and when push comes to shove and al Qaeda is fixing to lob smallpox bombs at us or North Korea is fixing to lob nukes at us, she’d prioritize saving her own and her rich pals’ skins and head off the problem. Sarah “I can see Russia from Alaska” Palin would just panic and hope some of the Senators could figure out what to do.
The notion that only Mormons could support Mitt Romney is ludicrous. We had pretty slim pickings for Presidential nominees in 2008 (both Rs and Ds), and he certainly stood out as someone who was well-qualified and also unlikely to sprout distractions like babies spawned with bimbos or interns giving him blow jobs in the Oval Office . . . or toting the likes of Levi Johnston on stage with him at the national convention.

Trusting people who are obviously not trustworthy is not a trait I seek in Presidents of the United States. YMMV

No, she and every thinking person in the country knew full well that there had been no plans to marry prior to the pregnancy (and it’s doubtful there were any such plans at any time, beyond Sarah’s politically self-serving claims). If there had been plans to marry before the pregnancy, Sarah would have known about it (since there would have been no reason for Bristol and Levi to keep that plan a secret), and would have paid a little more attention to the fact that her 17 year old daughter was running around with and threatening to marry a high school dropout whose mother is a drug dealer. Unless, of course, she’s really *not* committed to civilized family values, and doesn’t give a crap what her kids are up to.

I went through your posting history.
It is full of nothing but continual hate and meanness towards Sarah, much like this post where you presuppose her lack of honesty and forthrightness.
You're such a nice person, and so honest yourself.

Somehow I doubt this.
Your intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Mormon church and using such words as Apostles and Prophets when posting information about said church would lead me to believe that you are lying.
See how easy it is to besmirch someone's reputation with little or no information?
Much like you do continually in your posts with little or no information about Sarah.
Furthermore, anyone who thinks that the EXTREMELY WEAK field of presidential candidates in the last election had more to offer than Sarah is just stupid.

I think the story that the kids were going to get married was meant to cover Palin’s hide, and to not make it look so obvious that Palin has abdicated her parental duties in the pursuit of her political ambitions. Had the two not been “engaged” that is exactly the impression that would have been given about Palin. But thanks to the engagement, it was somehow all ok. Looking at the kid you could see right off he wasn’t the type to do the right thing. People are so dense. They only see what they want to. What I saw at the convention was two out of control, undisciplined teenagers, not two people about to get married. That’s the truth. Palin has no business on the national stage as a leader of the conservative movement, she is too much of a feminist the way she runs or doesn’t run her family. And that’s the truth that will come back to bite the Republican Party in the butt when they foolishly nominate Palin and then get creamed in the general election. It’s going to happen, you mark my words!

That is a pretty broad statement and an insult to many great divorced FReeper Dads on this forum.
