BOSTON -- Climate czar Carol Browner said she wants Congress to establish a broad U.S. greenhouse-gas policy before global climate-change talks near the end of the year.
Speaking at a conference Monday at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ms. Browner said she is confident Congress can move forward on a climate-change policy, citing hearings scheduled for next week on sweeping legislation proposed by Rep. Henry Waxman (D., Calif.) and Rep. Ed Markey (D., Mass). Ms. Browner didn't provide a timetable for when she would like to see congressional action, but said advancing climate-change legislation is "absolutely essential" to what the U.S. can accomplish during United Nations negotiations scheduled for December in Copenhagen.

The reason for global warming is the record amount of hot air from Washington.
Where the heck did all these “czars” come from? Even Russia got rid of theirs, a hundred years ago.
Browner, Waxman and Markey represent a triple-threat to American liberty. Their plan cannot stand.
The liberals have to wait on some actual hot weather so that they won’t get laughed out of the house. Expect this one to come to fruition somewhere mid-July to the end of August. Any later and they run the risk of an early snowstorm!

Oh, there was definitely some warming that took place over 10-12 years or so, from the late 80's to the turn of the century. It has been cooling since 2002 or 03 or so. This has nothing to do with ANYTHING Algore or his buddies or acolytes have done. It also has nothing to do with florescent bulbs, hybrid cars, or any other such stuff.
That big old yellow-face up in the sky puts out more sunspots sometimes, and fewer at other times, usually in a pretty regular fashion. It is those cycles that cause the warming and cooling on earth, no matter how much or how little CO2 we put into the atmosphere.
At this point in time, the sun is going through a lull between cycles, when it's creating a very minimal number of sunspots. If this goes on for an extended time, we could experience something akin to a Little Ice Age, which would be FAR worse than any global warming would be.
So don't try to argue against warming by saying there wasn't any; there was. The argument needs to be that we humans had nothing to do with the earth being warmer, and all the government power grabs in the world won't change that fact.
