Just heard on Fox that the Somalia pirates still hold 250 hostages.

The minute we got the captain to safety, we should have blasted the motherships.

Oh my!
Three Rag Heads dead, I think ol’ Barry is going to have a conniption and ask for the resignation and Courts Martial of all military involved.
Can't have Muslim terrorist pirates getting killed while threatening Americans now, can we? (you all ought to know this is sarcasm).

This is great. And not the first time that the skipper from a ship named “Alabama” was rescued from the water.

Great News! But it's revealing to notice how each news organization reports the news.
The BBC: Captain Released
Fox News: Captain Rescued
ABC News: Captain Freed
CNN: Captain Released
NY Times: Captain Freed
MSNBC: Captain Rescued by US Navy (surprising)
Make you own judgments.

An American ship captain was freed unharmed Sunday in a swift firefight that killed three of the four Somali pirates The Pirates said they are not afraid of the US military and three of the four are certainly not afraid now.
I wonder if the survivor is afraid.

Finally somebody in the White House woke up. I suppose the polls started to show Bambi slipping because of his inaction and with the French showing what should be done.
Now let's see what is done with captured pirate ...I suppose he already has a government paid lawyer and has been given his Miranda rights. Maybe Bambi will give him a pardon and send him back to Somali with an apology that we were so tough on him.

The president of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (Phillips’ alma mater) just said on CNN that he wished “it didn’t have to end this way.” What kind of BS is that???
Also, CNN keeps flashing “American captain released,” as though the pirates decided to let him go. They should be flashing “American captain freed.”
PC insanity seeping in right and left.

You *know* there had to be a video camera recording the situation at the time from at least one of our warships...I look forward to seeing it getting blasted to pieces by our machine gun fire after t6he Capitan dives out for the second time.

Now for the second half of the operation: The “tribal elders” who were using satellite phones to “negotiate” the release of Captain Phillips are nothing more than the command level of the piracy operation. They demanded $2 million. Since cruise missiles cost about $750,000, I say we fire three of them at the mensurated locations of the satellite phone as soon as we call three of those phone and say, “Keep the change, Akhmed!” and wait for the owners of those phones—and everyone unfortunate enough to be within 50 years of those terrorists—to join Saddam Hussein in the service of al-Lah.

One can only hope that the wounds of the captive pirate gets a really bad staff infection and he dies from it.

I think we have found how this action came about. I just heard the CEO of Maresk shipping praising the maritime unions over and over for their help in ending this. My bet is a few union members had more influence on O'H? than all the military...
