“Conservatives became so obsessed with the political process we have forgotten the gospel,”

Conservative Christians have failed to preach the gospel to their children. Day after day children from Christian families get on government school buses and spend the most important hours of their day awash in government school atheistic, Marxist, secular humanism. Once home from their atheistic government school, they children do secular humanist homework, spend their time being friends with other children who are indoctrinated in atheistic secular humanism, and swim in Marxist influenced media. The few minutes to hours that parents have in a day are unlikely to counter the overwhelming secular humanist influences in a child's life.

A Christian's **most** important mission field is his **own** children. His next most important mission field is the children of his congregation. Yet....Ministers throughout the nation allow their churches to be closed throughout the week. There are too many government teachers sitting in the pews and these ministers will not bite the hand that puts money in the collection plate!

Christians have **failed** to set up a system of schools throughout the nation that would offer tuition-free conservative Christian education to every child in this nation.

Ray Moore, president of Exodus Mandate, a South Carolina-based group which organises home-schooling for Christian children, said: “Political involvement by Christians is not wrong, but that’s all the big groups did for 25 years. They were more concerned with fund-raising and political power than they were with our children’s welfare.”

Our political action Christian groups were too concerned with raising money. Again, the fact that so many Christian government teachers sit in the pews may also be an influence with these organizations. These groups aren't about to call for massive removal from the government schools. Hey! They aren't about to bite the hand that write a check either!

and the campaign to restore prayer to schools after 40 years - a decision that helped create the Moral Majority - has got nowhere.

What? A puny nondenominational prayer in the morning. These STUPID STUPID Christian conservatives think that would help? These kids are **drowning** in a sea of government sponsored atheistic, Marxist, secular humanism! They are awash and set adrift on a sea of atheistic and Marxist influenced media! Why not use a water pistol to put out a raging forest fire!!!!

If our nation is a mess we must start blaming Christians for how carelessly they have educated their children! SHAME ON THEM!

Yes, I am shouting. I am exasperated.

>> Mr Dobson, who started his ministry from scratch in 1977 <<

Dobson started a ministry? That's news to me. What's his ministery called and what post was he ordained to? What church does he minister to? What church appointed him to his ministerial authority?

Last time I checked, he was a lay person with a doctorate in child development from the University of Southern California in 1967, a licensed psychologist in California, who earns a living from being a radio talk show host and author. And the former CEO of Focus on the Family, a non-profit social soncservative organization that promotes traditional values.

The Rider on the White Horse
11I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

17And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.”

19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

Wishful thinking on the part of leftists. Apparently, abortion isn’t a religious right issue anymore to these people because younger people tend to be more pro-life than older ones and restrictions on abortion continue moving along rapidly at the state level, with ultrasound legislation being the latest success story.

Do not listen to this DISINFORMATION JUNKIE. The “religious right” is not quitting. The old soldiers may retire, but they’ve trained a bevy of replacements. We’re “armed” with the truth and will continue to fight during this period of common grace.

We tried to defend the unborn child, the dignity of the family, but it was a holding action

A lot of those so-called "defenders" voted for Obama.

Dobson and the rest who are weary of the fight need to recall the dictum that "there are no permanent defeats just as there are no permanent victories."

America's religious Right has conceded that the election of US President Barack Obama has sealed its defeat in the cultural war with permissiveness and secularism.

Of course it has. Outside of a select few who actually go out and DO something, the rest sit in their pews and whine.

1. The cultural right ALWAYS loses and always will lose. The best they/we can do is slow down the tide towards gomorrah.

2. The "Yes Jesus Loves Me"/footwashing/handclapping brand of Christianity remains highly concentrated in the South and lower Midwest. Elsewhere, the population is growing more secular.

3. An increasing number of evangelicals and Pentecostals are Hispanic and black, and in places like New York and New Jersey, they constitute the majority of members of that movement.

The "religious right" is a regional movement that has little appeal outside of the Scots-Irish Pale of Settlement.

Religious conservatives aren't as monolithic as that, in spite of the "easily led" quote from the Washington Post.

But this is a "one step back" period. Whether it's followed by two steps forward or two more steps back, I couldn't say.

Author lost all credibility at this point in the article. No need to continue reading.

Gee thanks, Dr. Dobson!

Dobson's direct actions of falsely sliming Fred Thompson as "not a Christian" to steer the GOP toward Rev. Huckaphoney is what caused the party to get stuck with McCain.

Instead of letting the nomination race play out last year, Dobson thought he could play kingmaker and instead got played by the Country Club RINO's.

IMHO, conservatives should have ignored Dobson's political naievete last year and should ignore him now. Thanks be to Dobson for his part in helping to elect Obama and harming the GOP on all downticket races.
