"History has shown that around the world, registration has always led to confiscation." What will history show to the future citizens of the USA?
Will it show that we let a tyranny win or will it show that we fought and defeated tyranny and returned the government to the people?

How would they enforce it if no one complied with the requirement? There are no jails big enough to hold every gun owner in the country.

Never bring a knife (or a stack of proposed legislation) to a gun fight.

Where is your line in the sand?
What are you truly willing to give up if TSHTF?
Are you willing to give up home, job, finances, to actually fight?
When do you say enough is enough to actually pull the trigger?
This is what it really boils down to. Do you have the cajones to give it all up for real rebellion?

I read somewhere that Democrats calculated in 1994 that fully half of the 54 seats they lost were directly related to the assault weapons ban - they polled that they would not have lost half of those seats, and control of the House, if it were not for that one issue.
I will be surprise if they bring this up before the 2010 elections.
That said, elections matter. The last 2 election cycles have embolden the Marxists and is coaxing their agenda from the shadows. The more these people feel their oats, the more 2010 will matter.
Conservative ideas are better for America. There’s a REASON why these people shun accurately descriptive terms like liberal and socialist and run as “moderates” and “independents”.
The blowback on these people is going to be huge. 40 seats to change the House.

"The administration and Congressional anti-gunners have declared war on gun rights," Gottlieb said. "The press seems deliberately blind to the statements from Pelosi and Holder, who blame our gun rights for their incompetence in dealing with crime. More than 90 million gun owners haven't hurt anybody, and they are tired of being treated like criminals." You can become a member of the SAF by calling 1-425-454-7012.
You can also currently join the NRA for free at http://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus. The free membership is for one year, and the price of a two year membership has been reduced to only $25, a very good deal.

Somebody brought up a point I didn't even think about. These gun bans a great for Pelosi and Obama but can do nothing but hurt other Democrats reelection chances in 2010. Those Dems would even have many of their own voting against then if they supported a ban. Not to mention they could activate the largest voting block out there, the apathetic who don't vote. They are the sleeping giant.

My earnest prayer is that wealthy patriots everywhere are buying and stockpiling guns and ammo in quantities that would cause Nancy Pelosi to buy Depends by the truck load.

This will arouse the conservative base like nothing since the AWB of 1993, which gave us the Republican Revolution of 1994.
Only this time, conservatives should go with a conservative party instead of the RINO party.
