They thought Bush was powerful enough to change the climate in 8 years. So why not have 0bama play God and do the same?

It was 45 degrees in Tampa Florida this morning! This has to be the coolest Spring in Florida that I can remember.
I guess he’s got everything else screwed up enough so that he can now give his total attention to the climate, probably thinks he can internationalize the weather. We’ll probably have a stinking blizzard in July!
A nice snow squall? Here in the snowbelt around Cleveland, we had up to 7 inches of oobleck in the past two days! It’s melting today, and the sun is out.
It has already been proven we are in a colling cycle. So doing something will allow them to claim victory and get more money.
These crooks are over the ledge, Americans need to stand up and stop this madness.
We’re a big country with lots of science funding, and I hope that our science agencies like the National Science Foundation, DARPA, and NASA are investing small amounts of money in lots of kooky sounding ideas, most of which will never see the light of day. Every now and then someone invents the transistor or the internet, and having groups like the Rand Corporation planning for all contingencies allows the President to walk into the situation room the morning after a Hurricane Katrina or a September 11 and have his advisors present him with a detailed list of options.
However, for a top administration official to talk about a nutty idea like this as if it was actually being considered shows just how few grownups there are in this administration. The White House is not an academic conference where the goal is to impress other eggheads by proposing wild but creative ideas. (Incidently, I once went to an academic talk by an alarmist Global Warming researcher, where he threw out the idea that cutting down all the trees in Canada would significantly improve the situation because white snow reflects more energy back into space than green trees).
The bank bailout plan? Great idea.
Nationalized healthcare? Great idea.
Adding to the national debt by trillions and printing money to pay for it? Great idea.
Refusing to allow banks that took TARP money to repay? Great idea.
Overriding the Constitution to get DC a Democrat member of congress? Great idea.
Cap and trade? Great idea.
A craven, appeasement-minded and America-bashing foreign policy? Great idea.
All sorts of radical technologies being considered, but apparently the much simpler and more proven nuclear power is off the table. This tells me that they aren’t serious.

Oh Jeeze!......I sense another “taxpayer grab your ankles moment” coming!.....
At least he has admitted that the “problem” (if any) lies in the realm of engineering.
Why doesn’t the Zero go to a prestigious engineering society — such as Tau Beta Pi, which coincidentally has been in a roisterous internal debate over the whole idea of anthropogenic global warming, let alone its “solutions.”
Half of the engineers will just laugh at these hoity toity scientists.

The radical ideas I’ve heard on this involve putting tiny mirrors in the stratosphere to reflect sunlight back into space. Sounds like a recipe for an instant ice age. Do not want.
