Pakistani Christian man murdered
By Dan Wooding and Sheraz Khurram Khan Special to ASSIST News Service FAISALABAD, PAKISTAN (ANS) -- ANS has learned that a Pakistani Christian man was murdered on the night of March 31, 2009 in Samundri, located in the Faisalabad district of Punjab province, when he went to his brothers house to get medicine for himself.
The family of Rashid Masih were worried about him when he did not return despite passage of several hours. Rashids family looked for him everywhere in Sumandri but could not get any clue on his whereabouts.
The family members of the deceased who had a sleepless night were shocked to find the body of Rashid in a dried canal near their home on April 1. The deceased has left two daughters Nomi, 8, Hansa 6, and two sons Shalom, 5, and Shalon, 2.
A murder case has been registered at the Samundri Police Station, but police have not made any arrests in this connection at the time of writing of this report.
Pakistani Christians have often complained about the apathetic attitude of the police towards them, apparently due to them being lowest of the low.
Talking to ANS by phone, Mr. Anjum James, director of Social Harmony, Awareness and Development of Women (SHADOW), said that his organization pressed police for post mortem on Rashids body.
Anjum, who is also chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Teachers Association, said that autopsy report suggested that Rashid had resisted his assassins attempts, but could not overpower them, and subsequently succumbed to his fatal injuries.
He said the deceased had taken a loan to the tune of Pakistani 13,000 Rupees ($161.6714 USD) under a micro finance scheme. Ajum said that he has contacted the concerned authority and apprised them of Rashids murder.
Anjum said he is trying to help Rashids family get 20,000 Pakistani Rupees ($248.7253 USD)from the government, which, he added, would help the family to meet living expenses for some time. Rashid, a carpenter, was the sole breadwinner of the family.
Explaining the reason behind rising incidents of discrimination, abduction, forced conversion and rapes involving vulnerable segments of society, Anjum James said: You can always expect occurrence of such incidents in presence of a multi-law system."
When asked to elaborate on what he meant by multi-law system he said: On the one hand you have Sharia (Islamic Law), and on the other you have English constitution.
He went on to say that in the presence of several laws in a state, any person could commit an offence under the pretext of any of existing laws in the state.
He called for a uniform legal system which is equally applicable to every citizen of the state adding that every citizen should be treated on the basis of equality.
If he was murdered for the sake of Christ then we should only morn those he left behind, and rejoice for the man himself.
Praying for the Pakistani Christians, and the other Christians in countries of persecution.
Indeed. May God bless his loved ones.

Sharia and Sharia alike, I suppose.
As the other poster said, if this man was murdered as a result of his faith, then he is a Martyr, and we can rejoice in the fact that he has been welcomed home with fanfare by our Loving God, and he has earned a special place in the Kingdom of Heaven for all of eternity!
May God bless and protect all Christians facing persecution in our world. May He give them strength and courage to stand proud.

Luke 21:5-19 (NIV)
Signs of the End of the Age
5Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, 6”As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.”
7”Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?”
8He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them. 9When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”
10Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
12”But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. 13This will result in your being witnesses to them. 14But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. 15For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. 16You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. 17All men will hate you because of me. 18But not a hair of your head will perish. 19By standing firm you will gain life.
Ping — This is most likely the story of a man martyred for his faith in Christ.
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.
GOD HAVE MERCY.

Are we yet willing to face the fact that religion is a demonic monster?
“Are we yet willing to face the fact that religion is a demonic monster?
Only if you include the atheist religions that killed, during the 20th century, more people than have ever been killed in all wars in human history.”
I do, along with all the other religions (Christianity not being a religion at all).
Are we yet willing to face the fact that Islam is a demonic monster?
I hope that's what you meant to say.

Your hope is dashed. I meant what you read that I said. Would you be so good as to think abut what I said, about history and what the wars have been fought over?
Instead we import Muslim Somalis.
Would you be so good as to think abut (sic) what I said...
I don't have to. I realized the absolute truth of what you said - a LONG time ago. We are in perfect agreement. Many, many murders and deaths have been justified by "Religion" throughout history.
I simply refined what you had written and made it even more appropriate for this thread.
Here's what I thought you had meant to type at first:
Are we yet willing to face the fact that that religion is a demonic monster?
That sentence (although not well worded...) points the finger at the target of this particular thread : ISLAM - .
Bye.
Thanks for your clarification (and company).
