With all the fuss over what Michelle Obama wore in Europe over the past several days, it was this weekend's fashion faceoff with French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in France that everyone awaited.
The winner? Obama, by a thread.
Here, a review of the first ladies' week in fashion.

Calling Michelle stylish and fashionable is patently ridiculous. Everyone knows it yet the press keeps banging that drum.
She's tall and if she'd just straighten up she'd look much better. But she has lousy posture, wears styles completely wrong for her body type, wears styles that look tacky - sweaters too small, dresses too short that show too much leg, belts high on her waist, poofy 1950's style dresses.
The winner? Clearly Carla Bruni by an entire body.

When people talk about how glam Michelle is, I laugh.
Michelle is determined to suck up every inch of space in a room. Yuk!

I can not even find words to describe that hideous outfit. Can’t she wear any outfit without a belt? Bless her heart, she does not know any better nor does it seem that anyone around her knows how to tell her that.
I still think she looks like she has paw prints all over that coat. It’s really ugly. Bruni looks so classy by comparison. Obviously Bruni knows that plain is always better.
Words fail to describe how awful that is. Pilgrim bondage wear?
No first lady has ever worn an outfit as ugly as the one MO wore in London one day last week.
THis black and white ensemble makes her look pregnant. Perhaps we can start a rumor.
What I've noticed is that the other ladies dressed down as much as they could allow themselves to do so just so that 'chelle would look better.
Mrs Brown needs an award.

That outfit is outragous..from the weird cardigan to the colors with the dress. Sarah Brown’s outfit is all wrong for her too and she look bad from the backside.
I saw a picture of Sarah wearing black hose with white/ivory or some light shade.
She probably doesn’t have a stylist!
Looks like a spiked dog collar around her middle.
