The charms of a wonderful woman and a beautiful city are hard to beat.
So much so that Barack Obama will snub his hosts after arriving in Prague this evening in favour of a romantic Saturday night dinner with his wife, Michelle.
The Czech Republic is a stopover on the US President's first tour of Europe because it currently holds the presidency of the European Union, which rotates every six months.
But rather than meet the country's conservative leaders, with whom the President has little in common and who have been rather rude about the United States recently, the Obamas have decided to spend their only night in Prague soaking up the atmosphere.
“He requested a romantic dinner with a view of Prague, where they can eat the best Czech food,” said a Czech government source. “They have spent days trying to decide on the right restaurant.” ....
President Klaus is understood to have invited the Obamas to dinner at Prague Castle, while Mr Topolánek, his rival, offered to take Mr Obama out to a traditional Czech pub. ....
Much to their discomfiture, Mr Obama has decided to meet both of them at a breakfast meeting tomorrow morning, before the EU-US summit attended by leaders from the 27 EU countries. Later, Mr Obama plans to spend time with Václav Havel, the playwright who led the country out of communism and whom the US President greatly admires. He will probably get as much time as both of the current leaders put together.

Barry is Soros's guy. I wouldn't be surprised if this faux pas is a calculated insult done at the behest of Soros. Here is Klaus, now chair of the Euro Union, getting dissed by the President of the U.S. I believe this was as calculated as the snub given to the Brits during Brown's visit.
These people are truly petty and vicious. No good can come from anything they do. They've got us all in the cross-hairs. I've never felt such a sense of disquiet in my life.
So far, it looks like the healer of the world is showing himself to be the fraud we knew he was. Not up to the hype.

I agree he'll use it somehow, and I doubt it will be to the disadvantage of the US. It may be to the disadvantage of BO, which would be perfectly appropriate. Klaus is a smart man, and the Czechs know what commies and appeasers look like; he's not fooling them.
If the traditions are similar to those from the Ukraine, he needs to spit 3x. That was what my grandmother would do when discussing the Bolsheviks.
Hmmmm.....perhaps a move to Czechoslovakia is in order.
We sound like a broken record....if Bush took an entourage of 500 on an overseas trip and snubbed the President of the EU, gave the Queen a tacky gift, etc....etc....etc....we would never hear the end of it from a truly “free” press.

can You imagine being ss screwed up that THE ONE chooses to forgo a Beautiful State Dinner with a World Leader and Hundreds of Great People to sit at a private table by oneself across from a HAG that makes helen Thomas look Gorgeous, the person that THE ONE supposidly eats dinner everynight with anyway! Its like they are so outa LOVE, that THEY have to search for the MOST BIZARRE and OSTETATIOUS and EXPENSIVE SETTINGS to try and Ignite Their Romantic Flicker between each other!:-( BLETCH!
