The charms of a wonderful woman and a beautiful city are hard to beat.
So much so that Barack Obama will snub his hosts after arriving in Prague this evening in favour of a romantic Saturday night dinner with his wife, Michelle.
The Czech Republic is a stopover on the US President's first tour of Europe because it currently holds the presidency of the European Union, which rotates every six months.
But rather than meet the country's conservative leaders, with whom the President has little in common and who have been rather rude about the United States recently, the Obamas have decided to spend their only night in Prague soaking up the atmosphere.
He requested a romantic dinner with a view of Prague, where they can eat the best Czech food, said a Czech government source. They have spent days trying to decide on the right restaurant. ....
President Klaus is understood to have invited the Obamas to dinner at Prague Castle, while Mr Topolánek, his rival, offered to take Mr Obama out to a traditional Czech pub. ....
Much to their discomfiture, Mr Obama has decided to meet both of them at a breakfast meeting tomorrow morning, before the EU-US summit attended by leaders from the 27 EU countries. Later, Mr Obama plans to spend time with Václav Havel, the playwright who led the country out of communism and whom the US President greatly admires. He will probably get as much time as both of the current leaders put together.

Dang, that headline caused the Theme from The Jeffersons to pop into my mind. Now, I’ll be hearing that song all day!

I’ve been to Prague. It’s a wonderful city with wonderful people who know just how bad communism SUCKS. Mrs. Tick is of Czech heritage as well.
Personally, I hope they spit and put pubic hairs in the rat ba$tards’ food.
Flyover country indeed. Bambi and his beyotch should be ashamed of themselves.
What a social buffoon he is.

Oh, but so cool, don’t you know. /s
strawberry koolaid.
Gee, I’m sorry Mr. President. This is not a pleasure trip, second honeymoon or adventure. You are there to do the people’s business and it is only by the grace of the people that your wife is allowed to accompany you. Business is first and a dinner invitation from another country is your first priority. Regardless of how small or important the country is, you are our representative and we pay you to represent this country first, unfortunately, your family issues will have to be on the backburner for at least the next four years.
KFC and Ripple
Mrs. al ‘0bama has had the president’s equipment in her purse since the day she met him. Occasionally he begs for visiting rights.
Nurse Ratched had nothing on our michelle.
This is nothing but a taxpayer-funded vacation to him.
Good gosh, how awful. Can’t imagine why anybody would put the wife first. Impeachment time.
He’s in Prague? I have to warn my brother. He might want to go and spit on his shadow.
I would bet that he does this kind of thing because his fans on the left (most specifically the women) have been polled, and they think it’s neat that he would take Michelle out rather than meet with diplomats. This is calculated like that famous dance on the beach we all enjoyed so much.
0bama is dancing with his wife while the people of Fargo ND are fighting to save their home from flood waters.
President Bush was criticized for not going to New Orleans until a week after the disaster, but from what I can see, 0bama has no intention of visiting Fargo.
....Bob
I didn't know they had an Obama's chicken joint over there.

This guy snubs everyone. Why are we paying him to take trip after trip?
