[history]
the World's Greatest Orator (all news organisations), didn't exactly cover himself in glory when the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson asked him a question about who was to blame for the financial crisis. Normally word perfect, Obama ummed, ahed and waffled for the best part of two and a half minutes. Here, John Crace decodes what he was really thinking ...

This is surprising coming from the guardian, is it not? The world is laughing at us.

The only times the world has seen Obama prior to the G20, TOTUS was running the show. Bush is a more eloquent off-the-cuff speaker than is the Boy King.

Maybe we, as a country, are just a little too “globally” intertwined and we should become just a little more self-sufficient.

Yo, Hussein, same as American dvds, American teleprompters don’t work in England.

I used to have a gray parrot who was a better ad-libber than Zer0.
I think his dependence on the teleprompter shows not only his basic ignorance but also enormous insecurity, which shows up as narcissism. The guy is a shrink’s dream. I keep hoping for Dr. Krauthammer to give his long-distance diagnosis of Barry’s mental condition. But Charles is probably too much of a professional to do it.

I’m sure he made sure to stock up on a few local tele-crutches before leaving home. He’d be too chicken shit not to.

"Maybe we, as a country" We are not a country anymore.
We are a Teletry. What is a Teletry? Glad you asked.
A Teletry is a former country now being run by a TELEPROMPTER.

“Maybe we, as a country, are just a little too globally intertwined and we should become just a little more self-sufficient.”
I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. Militarily AND economically, we need to limit our worldwide entanglements.

The rest of the world all hold us responsible for the global financial collapse anyway (and not without justification), so he may as well fess up.
Wait til things really go for a crap later this year and next and see what the rest of the world thinks of us..

Right about now 0bambi's handlers are talking to the TelePrompTer execs about a heads-up glasses version Stud-ious Barry Davis could wear. (Borrow a little from Sarah P here.)

It amazes me that British writers—even those writing for commie rags like the Guardian—are more truthful about Zer0 than our “journalists.” But they have less of an emotional investment in the creep than the English, I suppose.
