“I also truly am repulsed by anyone whom I think may have voted liberal. I think they are stupid and sorry bastards. Actually, I hate them so much I fear my own reactions to them.”

You’re not alone. I remember, almost wistfully, the times where I would almost enjoy getting into arguments with them, so I could present my side and try and counter their irrational arguments (or even keep them on point). Now, I haven’t the slightest interest in arguing with them. They are, as you said, “stupid and sorry bastards” who aren’t worth the time it takes to try and reason with them. I don’t want to be civil to them anymore. I don’t want to share a country with them. I’m not interested in how they “feel,” WHY they feel or WHAT they feel, since anything they say is bound to be insanely ass-backwards ANYWAY.

“Americans are on prozac. We need to get off the drugs and wake up. “

Paul had the scales fall from his eyes; my hope is that the American people have the same awakening

I no longer have faith in the American people. I lost that on November 5th.

Agree. The ideologies are irreconcilable.

They intend to enslave everyone to the collective,
and we have no intention of allowing ourselves to be enslaved.

I really don’t see any solution other than living under completely separate governments.

Don’t be under the false impression that this could come about peacefully, either. It is antithetical to leftists’ ideology to let anyone live outside of their control.

A comparison of 0’s ‘strongly approve’ percentage to the percentage of Americans who don’t pay any net income tax would be VERY telling.

Yep, like all the unmarried working moms getting a $4k credit per illegitimate kid who looks at a 1040 as a source of income.

It’s much worse than that. This country is very near the tipping point of 50% of the voting public not paying any income tax. 0 will push us over the edge - that’s his power base.

By the end of his 100 days (at noon on Thursday, April 30, 2009), Zer0bama will have bankrupted the nation and will have created absolute turmoil in our economy and may have damaged it so badly it will take decades to recover and will have a negative approval index. He will tank just as badly as he and his friends such as Soros, Geithner, Summers, Reid, Pelosi, et. al., have caused the economy to tank.

IMO, You need to get over loathing the voters. disgusted with their ignorance? Fine... Feeling pity because of their naivete? Fine... But hating the person is not a good thing. We’re all people. Most of those folks have no idea what they have really done.

Besides:

We CANNOT afford to have our anger directed at our fellow citizens. That is playing in to the hand of the politicians. It keeps the heat off of the politicians, keeps our focus elsewhere. Additionally, we need to be reasoning with as many citizens as will listen, instead of trying to tar and feather them.

How to make a politician smile: Fight the enemy they have assigned to you.

Do not let them misdirect you.

Hatin’ on the “followers” will only further cement them in their comfort zones. They will never listen to us if we are continually degrading their persons.

There was an article in the IBD yesterday about that.

They poll on weekends, oversample dems by 11 points, phrase the questions in certain ways, etc,

then proclaim that 0bama has huge support and/or no blame for the problems.

Agree - wishful thinking. What caused the bounce back? Early in March he was doing a lot of negative-talk about the economy, then he started to put more positive spin on things and look what happened. Count on this to be a poll-driven adminstration, saying whatever is needed to sway public opinion will in many cases, doing the exact opposite.

Knowing this, we are looking at these poll numbers and trends — why??

He’s got the job for 4 years, regardless of polls. And at 56% approval there isn’t a Senator or Representative who wouldn’t trade numbers, or tie themselves to his coat-tails.

Obama not only ran on a “I’ll fix it” scenario, but at the same time, UNBELIEVABLY, passed the buck onto his supporters FOR MAKING HIM POSSIBLE, AND NECESSARY.
In effect, conjuring him up out of thin air.He took himself personally out of the equation, as all good Messiahs must.
NO one has noticed, or dealt with this profoundly cynical
psychological trick he played on his supporters, his “useful idiots”——He told them , “This is not about me, this is about YOU!”, thereby removing from himself all the usual charges one could make against a classically power-hungry egomaniac. THIS CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH.
Obama has left himself an “out”, and that out is his supporters. He was merely ANSWERING THEIR NEED. He’s like the ultimate neighborhood dope dealer, not only on a national, but now GLOBAL scale. He and his Administration NEVER HAD ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THINGS, and eventually they’ll learn that no matter how much funny money they throw around, NO JOBS will be created that aren’t “government jobs” (i.e., make-work, virtual patronage, “put-in-the-time-and-you’ll-get-a-check” stuff, that’s been done for decades in socialist countries)
Fortunately, I believe he’ll have a LOT of attrition of the next few months from his appointees, and the larger part of his “plans” will have to be scrapped, including those that would force us to give up our sovereignty.
Especially that part of it, the sovereignty part, and all the creepy New World Order features that are now being introduced to the American people through the noises coming out of the G20 summit. It will prove to be a measure of JUST HOW OUT OF TOUCH HE IS,and THEY ARE with what is still a majority of the American People, that they will NOT BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE MASSIVE BACKLASH REACTION THAT WILL ENSUE as soon as it becomes evident where we are being pushed. This is still America, after all.
We will either see massive strikes, or some other forms of grassroots protest which he would be extremely foolish to try to put down. And by grassroots protest, I certainly don’t mean “tea parties”.

‘’’’A comparison of 0’s ‘strongly approve’ percentage to the percentage of Americans who don’t pay any net income tax would be VERY telling.’’’’’’

Breaking it down even more to those that watch MTV, those who get their lifestyle cues from TMZ, those that have a criminal record, those think “the man” owes the a new Escalade and a 54” plasma, and those that can’t spell ‘exeuctive branch’ much less tell you what it means would be telling as well.

But in theory 20% of people who define themselves as “Conservatives” voted for him. There’s no way he holds on to any of those long term, so that will get him below 50% soon enough. By the way, those people have to be the prime examples of deep rooted absolute stupidity.

Of course, we still have to overcome the standard election cheating, overbreeding of the underclass, and flood of illegals. We are probably doomed. The population is not only stupid now but getting dumber every day.

Obama leaves the country and the stock market goes up, while his poll numbers go down.

I suggest Obama leaves the country more often.

It’s hard to agree on this one. Hillary! promised 250K new jobs in her first bid as senator here. We lost that many jobs in that time and she still got reelected.

[Overall, 56% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance so far. Forty-four percent (44%) disapprove.] Obama is getting really close to losing the support of his own voters.

Maybe we will soon reach the tipping point but it's going way too slow for my liking. The Obama approvers should be ashamed of themselves.

I feel the same way. I see an Obama sticker on a car and think, enemy. I don't want to speak to anyone that I know voted for him, and especially don't want to talk to friends who still support him.

It is no use talking to them, anyway. All their beliefs are built around false statements that they have heard from other believers. For instance, I was arguing with a friend, who is not stupid, and she made the statement that Bush sent all those unsuspecting National Guard "boys" and "young people" to fight his war. Then denied that fact that those young people had any idea that those young people knew that they would be called up in time of war when they signed the papers. She insisted that the National Guard was only to be used in the states.
