Just as young kindergardeners in the UK are taught to bow and curtsyNo. No they're not. I have no idea where you get that from.

I got that from a relative that called me tonight. She spent 7 years in the UK raising their kids there, before returning to the US. I don’t know if this was private or public school (heck, I don’t even know what kind of schools they have there!) But this was a rather ticked off relative.
She told me it is common to teach children this in the UK.
If she is wrong, please tell me more so I can hit her with it the next time she calls in a snit. :)

I’m reminded of the two scenes in Amadeus where Mozart ‘bows’, once was in contempt of the Archbishop of Salzburg, the other was tweaking Salieri.

Obama is not completely ignorant. The bow was intentional and planned. He knew the implications of his actions. Obama relishes sticking it to United States citizens.

I noticed that even the Saudi king himself, when seeing Obama coming toward him, reached his hand out to shake, but instead, Obama bows to him. Only after that, does Obama shake his hand.
It’s a revealing moment- the president is a fool for all the world to see.

At least he didn’t get down on his knees with his butt sticking up in the air.
That’s reserved for the Oval Office, five times a day.

Certainly does help explain his policy towards domestic energy sources like coal.

Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say 'what should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship and plough, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen! Samuel Adams

When an American president bows to a foreign king, it represents his willingness to subjugate our national will and public policy. I personally consider this a manifestation of a treasonous heart and mind set.One small bow for man, one giant dump on mankind...

Remember the hysterical outrage when President George W Bush held the King’s hand as they walked outdoors.
President Bush held the King’s hand as a help to the older man.
What excuse can there be for this act of obeisance from our muslim president.

Does anyone know if Obama has me the king before the G20. He appears to be familiar with him and there is not an introduction. It is a very instinctive move, as though he has done it before.
