Dentist's Protest Stirs a Tempest in a Tea Bag
By DAN TUOHY AND MARK HAYWARD
New Hampshire Union Leader
MANCHESTER All Michael Yannetti wanted to do Monday was to protest the notion of Washington bailouts and $3.6 trillion in federal spending. So he did what thousands did across the country this week: mailed tea to their congressional representatives in protest.
Yesterday, police showed up at his door.
The green tea he had mailed to the Manchester office of Rep. Carol Shea-Porter prompted the evacuation of her office yesterday. Police and firefighters were at the downtown location for about 1 1/2 hours, securing the scene and conducting field tests for possible hazardous substances or volatile compounds.

I don’t believe they were “dumb” in this case.
More like “let’s make an example of this guy for protesting our superior intellect and vision”.

Congress critters are accustomed to an environment wherein lies are coin-of-the-realm. :-)

Think about the original tea party-
it disrupted tax flow, government business, enraged those in power and the “perps” got away with it.
I think this guy did just the right thing. Too bad he wasn’t able to do it with impunity like the Sons of Liberty did.

...this person who turned in the alarm turned in a false alarm, knowing full well that it was a false alarm and is the person who should not only be charged the costs of the responders, but should also be criminally prosecuted for turning in a false alarm.I believe that person has Democratic immunity.

In the near future, tea companies will probably have to use HAZMAT stickers on their shipments...

Our local Congress-critter may have decided to make an example of an uppity Tea Party activist. "Chilled" tea or just stupidity? Stupidity.

E-mails, letters and even calling do not seem to matter anymore to the people we elected to represent us in Congress.
Heres a thought: when Congress was busy huffing and puffing about those evil AIG bonuses, no one gave it a second thought when the thuggish ACORN rent-a-mob went on a bus tour of AIG employees homes.
So, what if someone were to create a database containing all the HOME addresses of these professional thieves in Congress (both their D.C. and state home addresses) and distribute it widely across the internet?
A few peaceful public gatherings at their ritzy D.C. townhomes and gated estates might make them think twice as they continue to tax us and our children into a banana republic-style poverty.

The best thing for the dentist to do is to incease the cost of his office visits, to 1,000.00 per individual.

THEREFORE: It seems to me that this person who turned in the alarm turned in a false alarm, knowing full well that it was a false alarm and is the person who should not only be charged the costs of the responders, but should also be criminally prosecuted for turning in a false alarm. Thereby giving the protester and his cause more attention then he could have hoped to achieve by mailing a simple tea bag.
Added Bonus: Making a Democrat look stupid and vindictive.

Che and her staffers are working hard—to be known as the stupidest people in Washington. And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, takes some SERIOUS doing.

It said "TEA" on the envelope.
Nobody in NH has ever accused Carol Che-Porter of being too smart.

I've seen her in person. She looks like a liberal, hyphenated name and all.
Did I tell you I got to talk to her once? Talk about brain-damaged. If you ever asked her a question more difficult than the color of the sky, she'd come back with, "I'll have to ask my staff about that..."

Actually, Che is from my town. It's a dilema, really--keep her in DC and continue to be ignored and represented by an idiot, or get her out of office and have another moonbat at the Main St. statue every Friday night--just ask andy-58-in-NH and Little Bill about the hippie crowd.
And ever since the hangout closed, there just aren't any good places for buffalo wings afterwards. Sure, the Draught Pick Pub tries, but they just don't have the same quality as the old hangout.

If you ever asked her a question more difficult than the color of the sky, she'd come back with, "I'll have to ask my staff about that...Why does this not surprise me? This country's political culture is utterly dominated by liberal Democrats. As a result, Republicans are judged by their ability to answer complex foreign policy questions without inadvertently misquoting the name of any minor 19th century treaties between the US and the Holy Emirate of Absurdistan. Democrats are only required not to drool on the microphone.

There are a couple of good places for buffalo wings here in ManchVegas but, sadly, no Moonbat peaceniks to harass. OTOH, thank God we’re still a Republican town. I’m thinking of hosting a barbeque this summer for all New Hampshire FReepers who’d care to come and drink my beer. Do you think anyone would be interested?
