A Tea Party has been planned at the exact spot where Gen. George Washington and his troops launched a surprise attack across the Delaware River in 1776 and eventually motivated a young American nation to shake the bonds of tyrrany.
The Tea Party has been dubbed the Kitchen Table tea party because of the two women who organized it are just "two normal moms" who have seven kids between them.

The two women organizers are just regular citizens from nearby Doylestown.
One of the women expressed amazement at all the interest their Tea Party has generated.
"I'm just overwhelmed at all the people who have heard about this, and want to come," one organizer said Wednesday evening.
Washington Crossing Park is located in Upper Makefield, in beautiful Bucks County.
Anyone interested in attending can get more info through the tea4change.com website.
I’m in South Jersey...I’m so there!
I might go - it’s more convenient for me than going to Philadelphia.
A local talk show station might sponsor it, but details can’t be released until things are confirmed.
So far, several local speakers are lined up.
Organizers want it to be a grass roots type of thing, so they are not enthused about getting too many local politicians as speakers.
We need volunteers to help clean up, set up and dismantle the stage, etc.

Great. Thanks for the info!
I’m puzzled about who is heading up the coordination for these events.
Is it taxdayteaparty.com
... or is it teapartyday.com ?
Are these two organizations/cooperatives working together, or is one trying to capitalize on the success of the other, or did they both come up with the idea separately but at the same time?
It is a few local people who are good patriot conservative citizens, but they want to remain in the background considering all the harassment they would get from the liberal local media, not to mention the crazy acorn KozKook types.
Just finished watching the movie “The Crossing” from netflix. Boy, did I get homesick. I grew up in Bucks and will be returning soon. One of my favorite drives is up River Road from Morrisville to Easton.
The more I learn about our first President, the more heartbroken I am about the state of our political system. Enjoy the spring!
Conserve Bucks County Farms.
Humor me for a minute. Is there any chance whatsoever that these recent random acts of violence correlate to the Tea Parties that are taking place in small and big towns across America? I mean, are we supposed to be afraid to attend for fear that some crazed gunman will come in and shoot us all to pieces?
I'm not God, so I can't give guarantees.
But I am confident that providence will reign supreme in the lives of American men (and women) ....
That's my empirical answer.
My practical answer is that organizers are being very careful in getting the ducks in a row, so to speak.
It will be a great family event. I'm bringing the kids and grandkids, and anybody else who wants to come.
The great thing about THIS tea party is that it on the exact same spot in 1776 where Gen. George Washington rallied his ragged troops to defeat the much stronger Hessian brigade across the Delaware River in NJ....
and thus inspired early patriots across fledgling continental America to get involved in the good and decent fight against tyrany.
This tea party is being dubbed the 'Kitchen Table' tea party because the organizers are two wonderful mothers (with 7 kids between them) who simply felt they had to get involved.
It will be cathartic, and effective, if we can get good decent people to help and participate.

i wish i could join you guys but i’m in the SF Bay Area. I’d much rather be in PA where my ancestors are from. I hope the weather turns out to be good for your event. And i agree that surely it will be cathartic. Maybe you’ll find some leadership there. Maybe this thing will turn into a national charter like the NAACP, but unlike the NAACP. Know what i mean? I’m saying i hope this tea party thing takes off like crazy.
It’s all uncoordinated.
There are no less than six tea parties across Pennsylvania between the 15th and the 18th.
Beyond being told they are from the grassroots, as are all the Tea Party organizers, we do not know specifically who the organizers are, who the speakers are nor do they yet have a sponsor, though they are working on it.
It does seem odd they’d request all of our personal information while not identifying themselves.

Putting together the final stagecraft details.
Am heading out to pick up a huge American flag.
Last minute ideas are flooding in.
The weather is predicted to be 70-degrees and sunny, great for picnics and music and rock ‘n roll and conservative revelry!
Plus, we might have a turtle release in the nearby lake, which is right next to where General George Washington and the boys gathered before launching across the Delaware River to Trenton NJ back in 1997.
Consecrated ground, for certain.

About Gary Rnel, WPHT-1210am: Gary R'nel has exercised his first amendment rights as a journalist/talk show host predominantly in the Philadelphia and New York City radio markets. In addition, R'nel has also hosted for major talk radio networks, News Talk Television and UA Columbia Television. Listeners find his show refreshing in today's well defined bipartisan world of talk radio. R'nel states, "What makes me so unique and relatable is that I hold strong opinions but without an appendage or an umbilical cord to a political party". If you had to define him politically, most would say he is center right with a mean streak of independence. R'nel has won several broadcast awards and citations. He can be reached at radiornel@verizon.net.
About Washington Crossing Historic Park: Washington Crossing Historic Park was founded in 1917 to perpetuate and preserve the site from which the Continental Army crossed the Delaware River. This purpose is achieved by interpreting the historical significance of this site for thousands of Park visitors each year through tours, exhibits and various special events. http://www.ushistory.org/washingtoncrossing/
They just finished putting together the speaker list, and it is mostly all people from the Philly region that most people would not recognize.
But as I said to Gary R'Nel, your event and our event are both being held at supremely historical sites which make them particularly special. Ours though is at the site of the first Philadelphia Tea Party, in 1773.
This tea party will be the best of them all.
Huge open field, with picnics, a big turtle release in the nearby lake, kids and games, and lots of dynamic speakers... most of them local from Bucks County.
Anyone who couldn’t make it to the Wednesday events in Philadelphia should plan on coming to beautiful Bucks County, where the weather is expected to be sunny and 76 patriotic degrees.
