The good news is, on the very first day, we had a single donor fork over the entire $80,000 to keep FR running for another three months. WHOO-HOO!
The bad news is, the donor is some guy from Chicago. He showed up on my doorstep with a box of cannoli, along with some lowlifes I assumed to be either be muscle or Congressmen. Made me an offer I couldn't refuse while mumbling something about the Fairness Doctrine. Paid me in cash out of a suitcase with TARP stenciled on the side. He took the cannoli.
As a result, some wiseguy named Rahm Emmanuel is now part of the management team at FR. And most of the moderators have been replaced. The position of Lead Moderator has been assumed by MurryMom. Ash has been reinstated and is now Admin Moderator. And Toiletman was brought back to be Sidebar Moderator.
Religion Moderator has not been replaced – no one in the Obama Administration knows anything about religion other than "God Damn America" so they left that position alone.
I know this is probably a bit of a shock for our long-time posters, but I am sure we can all get used to the new regime, we just need to be sure to praise Obama in each thread while condemning Rush Limbaugh. And we can only post really badly photoshopped images of Sarah Palin. But other than that, it should be FReeping as usual.
