Just wanted to announce to everyone that the OCGOP is planning to hold a Tea Party event in Orange County, North Carolina. We are working on getting the permits, etc. and will nail down a venue very soon.
Tentatively, we're looking at holding this event in the evening (4:30ish to 7:30ish) of the 15th, in Hillsborough, NC (the county seat, and centrally located). We plan to have it at either the county courthouse, or in the parking lot of the old Wal-Mart building on Churton St. which is right next to the busy road with lots of visibility (plus lots of parking right there).
If anyone is interested in attending and/or helping to plan and implement this event, please FReepmail me and we can coordinate. If anyone is involved in neighbouring county Republican Party apparati (e.g. Alamance, Person, Caswell, Chatham, etc.) and would like to be involved, please let me know as well, and I'll bump it up the line to our Exec Committee and Chair. We're going to be approaching a number of groups to try to get them to help out, including the Libertarians, the Orange Co. Taxpayers' Union, Freedom Works, and the John Locke Foundation.
Ping!
Cool! There’s going to be at least one here in the KC, KS area as well.
I heard the party in Coral Gables, FL was denied a permit.

tax revolt on FOX
Sent from Kathy Hartkopf, from Orange County FreedomWorks:
Tax Revolt: Orange Tax Revolt was just notified by Fox that the footage shot in Orange County will be aired tonight at 7 p.m. on Fox Report with Shepard Smith. As always, breaking news could bump the piece. If this happens, we will be notified of the new air date and time.
Thank you. I’m waiting on a schedule. I’m hoping to be there.
