Tax Day Tea Party Issues with TaxDayTeaParty.com - Explanation

An international effort to shut down the TaxDayTeaParty.com website has been detected by our technical staff. Internet experts commonly call this type of attack a Denial of Service (DOS) attack. Corrective measures are being implemented, and the site should be fully accessible again within 48 hours.

Unfortunately, these DOS attacks are very difficult to trace. In this case, the attacks have come from both domestic and international sources. All we know for certain at this point is that a group of people want to stop this movement. We will not allow this to happen. This citizens’ movement will not be stopped.

We will be issuing an official press release on this issue on Monday, March 30th.

ACORN is “gate busting” Tea Parties nationwide. These far-left goons are attending them and misrepresenting their allegiance. They are getting petitions signed, misrepresenting them as opposition to the Obama agenda. They explain something different than that written on the petition. More fraud, and lies from Obama Acorn people. Please be careful when signing your name to anything at these Tea Parties. We are still not sure what these whackjobs are using the names for, these people are known for violent criminal acts,bullying tactics, fraud and harassment (just to name a few). UPDATE: We believe we’ve been able to find a solid solution to the problem. As we understand it, the DOS attack occurred last Thursday and Friday. Because of the heaviness of the attack, we had to limit IP’s allowed to access the site. This limit in and of itself is why there were so many issues accessing the site over the weekend.

Everything should be getting back to normal today.

Hi, This is the information I received for the Tea Party event in Tampa. Probably much the same everywhere. :)

Event: Tampa Tax Day Tea Party
When: April 15, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Where: Federal Courthouse, 801 North Florida Avenue
Other Info: Bring any signs, flags and posters, along with anything else that
may be helpful.

Here are the rules for the Federal Courthouse:
We are permitted on the sidewalk in front of the courthouse.
We are prohibited from obstructing foot traffic passing through the area
We are prohibited from obstructing access to the courthouse
We are prohibited from protesting on the plaza (i.e., the elevated patio between the steps and the courthouse) and the steps.
It is permissible to use the restroom in the courthouse. You must go through security’s scanner and so on to get to the restroom but otherwise access to the restroom should not be a problem.

They need the element of suprise right now and do not want the tea parties to gain momentum or media attention. This will halt people in their tracks and they will begin to question things. That is the last thing they want.

Folks who do DDOS attacks hide behind proxies (IP Anonymizers) where they can choose IPs from different countries. IOW...could have been ALL from the US. JMO.
