President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”
His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.
“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—” How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.
“Are you punch drunk?” Kroft says.
“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

He is beginning to realize how under equipped he is for the job and how poorly things are going for him.

I’ve seen columnists starting to bandy about phrases like OCD, megalomaniac, schizoid, abandonment issues (2 fathers and 1 mother left him as a child!). They are grasping, sensing something is seriously unstable about this man’s ability to be human, and tossing out some psychological labels. You’re right about the dissociation, which comes from a complete inability to empathize. His behaviour has always been sociopathic, these new things the media is “discovering” (ridiculing disabled kids on Leno, etc) are no different than his comments about “clinging to guns and religion” or his idealizing Rev. Wright’s for 20 years. My opinion is Obama has a classic case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and by that I don’t mean he’s just egotistical, I refer to a serious medical illness that renders him unfit for office.
Show me exactly where I, or anyone else on my ping list, openly advocated for Obama. Suggesting that a failure on my part to support your RINO turd somehow implies my support for the Democratic candidate is both logically and morally unsound, and scurrilous on your part.

Please. I was a Romney supporter, too. But neither he nor Huckabee (nor Thompson, nor Giuliani, nor Hunter, etc.) could figure out how to defeat the weakest candidate the GOP has seen since Thomas Dewey. McCain made Dole look good.
And, if you can't beat McCain, you have no business be nominated to the Presidency!
Great movie, I saw the entire thing on TCM the other night. Hope Fred MacMurray is right, “He’ll never get away with it.” Obama still has an awful lot of people on his side, big, rich, powerful people that can and will cover for him and pull the right puppet strings, unless the American people demand the truth.
