Yesterday I attended the Tea Party in Raleigh, NC held at the State Capitol Building. From talking to others, the crowd was estimated at about 400. Upon arrival everyone signed in and got their "tea bag" to wear. Tables were set up by the Americans for Prosperity organization and the John Locke Foundation. Food was served for the first 150 people arriving, and I apologize for not remembering the names of the two restaurants that provided the refreshments.
The crowd grew silent when the Star Spangled Banner began to play. Everyone stopped what they were doing, the men removed their hats and hands were placed over hearts. It was truly awesome.
We had 5 or 6 speakers and the favorite chant of the crowd seemed to be "Not One More Dime!"
Here are some pictures from the event. We didn't have the turnout that some other parties had (Orlando), but we were loud and got our point across. Supposedly, one of our local news stations arrived to make a report, but if so, I didn't see it on the 11:00 news last night. Big surprise huh??
There will be a Tax Day Tea Party in Raleigh at the Capitol Building on April 15th beginning at 6:30PM.

Thanks for posting this. We rely on these posts since the lame-stream media is so absent on these events.

Great Job!
Accourding to morning news, this did not happen!

We had a wonderful time yesterday and whether the lamestream media covered it or not, there were plenty of people there who heard our voices. The media not covering these events just makes them less credible. If they have any credibility left that is. Thanks for your replies.

“Not One More Dime!”
Zero is now trying to ‘cap’ all exec salaries even if the company does not accept govt bail outs. One more step to Socialism.

Lots of talk and signs yesterday re: socialism. People ARE paying attention! Talked to one guy yesterday who told me he was a "reformed liberal"...his biggest gripe, if you can believe it, was the tread towards socialism in this country. I hope more and more people awaken from their Obama induced comas. After yesterday, I have renewed faith that we still have a chance of taking our country back.

I am starting to read more blogs etc about revolution and zero screwing with the Constitution. I agree, people are starting to wake up to zeros intentions.

These tea parties remind me of mccain's townhall in Wisconsin when a man stood up and said he was mad at all the socialism. He was angry and darn right to be angry! And mccain's response? He did his impression of steve martin's "Well excuuuuse me".
"We the people" are the only hope for America.

Yes, you all had a great turnout in Orlando!...our tea party wasn’t quite that big, but every little bit counts huh?...I don’t know who took the picture at your tea party, but I loved the one of the George Washington sign...LOL

Great shots! My favorite “Not outraged, you’re not paying taxes.”

Thanks so much or the great pics. What a bunch of patriots! Kudos to all who were there. What I really like about these Tea Parties are the parents who bring their kids, even the littlest ones in strollers,to witness this important time in history. These parents are really the guardian angels of our future generations, and they’re certainly setting them on the right track.
