Class Warfare: ‘Working Families’ Offer Field Trip to AIG Executives’ Mansions Friday, March 20, 2009 By Susan Jones, Senior Editor

(CNSNews.com) - "We're all mad at AIG," says the pro-union Connecticut Working Families Party. Tapping into some of that rage, the liberal group is sponsoring a "field trip" on Saturday to show working people from Hartford and Bridgeport how and where the AIG executives live. Some of the executives who received bonuses work in the company's Wilton, Conn., office.

Those executives "bear a large share of the responsibility for bringing the economy to its knees, and now the same folks are getting hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses -- at our expense," Connecticut Working Families says on its Web site. "Join us for a field trip to bring them the message."

Jon Green, the director of Connecticut Working Families, told the New York Times on Friday that his group would be “peaceful and lawful” and would not “foment” lingering rage at AIG “unnecessarily.”

The field trip will “give folks in Bridgeport and Hartford and other parts of Connecticut who are struggling and losing their homes and their jobs and their health insurance an opportunity to see what kinds of lifestyle billions of dollars in credit-default swaps can buy,” Green told the newspaper.

The Times on Friday noted that some AIG executives fear for their safety.

Idiots. most of those executives probably voted democrat. ..... skeeter

Great point. I was beginning to feel that the AIG people were probably being targeting a bit unfairly. Then I realized that most of them probably either voted for and/or donated to Obama, and I don't feel so sympathetic! ...... Repealthe17thAmendment

The scumbag executives at AIG Financial Products are fools and idiots at best or, at worst, criminals that knowingly sold the financial equivalent of tainted meat, toxic derivatives, on the market.

WE who have lost 50% of our entire stock market portfolios in our 401k's and SEP IRA's are the legitimate capitalists, not these (idiots / criminals .... choose one).

WE who are seeing our small businesses strugle to survive because the banking system that provides small business credit has been poisoned are the legitimate capitalists, not these (idiots / criminals .... choose one).

These scumbags are not legitimate "businessmen" any more than the butcher that sells tainted meat and poisons his town is a legitimate "businessman" or "capitalist".

These (idiots / criminals .... choose one) have caused more damage to American capitalism and free enterprise in the past 10 years that the USSR was able to cause in 82 years.

The dumbest mistake we can make is to defend these (idiots / criminals .... choose one) just because Obama is attacking them. Obama would turn against his own grandmother if he thought that he could gain politically from it. Literally.

These scumbags do nor represent "the rich" or "a class" or "capitalism" or "free enterprise". They are nothing more and nothing less than (idiots / criminals .... choose one).

Right now, the Democrats OWN this mess.

AIG Outrage Could Give GOP Electoral Opening .... After two straight electoral drubbings, Republicans finally might have found a path to the soul of the voters: AIG.

Don't defend either side. It would be like taking sides in a feud between the Mafia and the Crips.

Fascist field trips.

How long before they start draging them out of their houses and sending them to re-education camps?

I went to High School in Ridgefield Connecticut...my brother still lives in Connecticut...he tells me that neighbors of the AIG bonus babies who now out of work (lots of financial people in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey out of work including my brother laid off from Citi...but hey they can afford 10 million for new diggs for Pandit) are stopping their cars and yelling at these AIG employees and giving them the finger...these are not union guys but neighbors! My brother says so many people have been hurt in this mess that everyone is mad.

Forget the reeducation camps. They want the evil capitalists tossed into ovens and thrown into mass graves.

“turn on each other”

I don’t think that applies. The people that you’re talking about here want to enslave us, they don’t want to work with us to solve problems.

They are not just ignorant dupes, they are the enemies of your liberty. They ACTIVELY support tyranny.

Agreed. Its an unfortunate impulse on our side to defend business without considering that sometimes businesses are in league with the authoritarians in government.

As quickly as this fascist crap is accelerating,

I don’t forsee it as being too long before what you said starts happening.

My brother says so many people have been hurt in this mess that everyone is mad.

This whole mess started with Carters "Affordable housing" bill. Clinton upped it with his "Community Reinvestment Act." The banks had no choice but to comply and took full advantage of it themselves. The politicians GUARENTEED the tax payers would pay off any and all debts if anything went wrong, so they had nothing to lose.

So...here we are, in total chaos and honoring the democrats promise to these institutions.

Instead of tracking down the cause of the disease and destroying it, they're trying to cut out the symptoms of the disease with knives. The useful idiots are after the wrong people. Go after the politicians who wrote the script first, THEN go after those who milked it.

Sorry, Mr.B, but civil unrest is the first necessary step toward facism.
Many have reference the French Revolution, where the poor went after the aristocracy. That didn’t end well.

That's what Rush is saying right now. The democrats have people acting the same way Hitler got people to act. The government approved of these bonuses in their bill. The politicians are the criminals here.

You are 100% correct, they want us to move to the MOB mentality, they want us to riot, it serves their purpose of taking complete control of everything.

On the other hand, do we just passively stand by and let them take over as the Germans did?, Do we protest and fight? What do we do?

Remember Fidel stirred up the riots, and look what happened. We have got to be very careful of whom we follow into battle. Those that start a Panic, always seem to have the answer, and most usually not one we like.

I am not expecting you to know the answers, just as I nor any other poster does not know. It is scary, not for me as I am old, but for my grandchildren and yours. I'm stumped on this one.

Don't suppose any of these executives have a doberman and 12-gauge to greet the "tourists?"

They want to see the big houses because envy mostly revolves around visible size. Envy is that basic. It’s big houses, big cars such as SUVs and Hummers, big families, big dogs, big boobs, big anything.

I second this...defending them reinforces stereotypes of the GOP-rich. white, old and in bed with big business.

Egggactly! Sorry, didn’t hear Rush. But, my 88y.o. German mother says she sees so many similarities with this move towards facism, that she’s very nervous.
She said Wall Street rich are the new ‘Jews’ (target for blame for our situation and subsequent hatred)
Beware any movement that runs on the fumes of anger and hatred. The politicians are leading the way with their example on the House Floor yesterday.
I’m thoroughly disgusted by my fellow citizens.

No, the perfect solution is the CEO’s should have to become Walmart greeters because many of their older victims are having to do just that now that their life savings are gone with the credit default swap wind. Hey Walmart handed out bonuses so they might still get one...it’s a plan worth considering.

While they’re at it, they should check out Charlie Rangel’s mansion in the Domincan Republic.

Marshal law and disarmament. They could finally get their totalitarian rule.

What can we do? Gather supporters to our side through education and prepare like crazy for 2010. That will stop all future moves, and in 2012, we can cancel all that they've done as much as possible. We could even move as far to the right as they moved to the left, because people will be demanding it..

SOCIALISM:(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
