Attorney General Eric Holder is using the drug violence in Mexico to "confuse and mislead" Americans in an attempt to reinstate the expired federal assault weapons ban, gun advocates say.
Get ready for a gunfight.
Holder revealed his intention to reinstate the ban last month while announcing more than 700 arrests in connection with a crackdown on Mexican drug cartels operating in the United States.
"As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to re-institute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder said. "I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum."
Holder said reinstating the ban would decrease the flow of guns from the U.S. into Mexico. He declined to offer a timeframe for any re-implementation; Justice Department spokesman Matt Miller also declined comment on Tuesday.
But Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, told FOXNews.com that Holder's "argument in general is bizarre."
"It's a delusion to say that diminishing the Second Amendment in America is somehow going to stop these ruthless drug cartels in Mexico."
LaPierre called on Holder and Justice Department officials to uphold existing laws and focus on increasing enforcement along the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border, rather than consider additional legislation...

Don’t tell me this stuff! I just got in from the range and my shoulder is killing me! I’m trying to have at least 1000 rounds on hand for every firearm I own. It’s serious work mandated by Obama. I do agree with the California one firearm a month regulation. It should be mandatory to purchase at least one firearm per month. Is there any way we can get stimulus (porkulus) money to pay for this?

I am really glad they are biting off way more than they can chew. The backlash is gaining steam and they are still talking about mandate and expanding the agenda.
Let’s see...... gun control, comprehensive immigration reform (aka amnesty), Holder calls us all racists, gov’t healthcare, severe restrictions for gorebull warming, card check, and now they “might” release some Gitmo prisoners in the U.S.? I know I am forgetting a few.

The sheer idiocy of these people never ceases to astound me. Why does he think that drug gangs with millions of dollars at their fingertips, smuggling apparatus in place for moving anything from a kilo of cocaine to a bunch of illegal farm workers and contacts with rouge governments all over the world would go to all the trouble to try and buy a few weapons piece meal and bring them into the country. Why would they bother with a few civilian AR-15’s or semi auto AK’s when they can buy full auto weapons, grenades, RPG launchers and even land mines from governments ready and willing to sell them to anyone with the cash to buy them.

I’m a single dad with an 8 year old and a 12 year old.
Afer they are raised and gone, all bets are off.
“They” are coming for you no matter what. I'm tired of all the boogieman stuff and the gun organizations sending tons of mail trying to scare everyone to death.
I have no wife, no children, and no family and therefore nothing to loose but my liberty.
Hiding, burying your guns and ammo, etc... is a totally worthless endeavor. It is time to $hit or goet off the pot as the old saying goes.
I always think back to what the Pres. of my Sportsman's association said to me one time “We're all going to die some day, and today is just as good as any” ... in reference to the gov’t sending police/troops to confiscate weapons. This is coming from a Marine Recon retired who has been shot 3 times.
So ... I guess the the time is rapidly approaching where we will all have to make up our minds what to do ... stand for principle and liberty ... or live like the French in occupied France in WWII with no hope of some “Allies” coming to the rescue.

Support the NRA and others even if you don’t want to get on a list. Criminals don’t register their guns, why should law-abiding citizens...we need to remind chicken-shit Holder and commie obama that we outnumber them big time...don’t even try to confiscate any guns or we win by the numbers...
