WASHINGTON – The Obama administration will endorse a U.N. declaration calling for the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality that then-President George W. Bush had refused to sign, The Associated Press has learned.

U.S. officials said Tuesday they had notified the declaration's French sponsors that the administration wants to be added as a supporter. The Bush administration was criticized in December when it was the only western government that refused to sign on.

The REAL issue here is Obama's willingness to sign on to a U.N. declaration! What are the mandates included in this declaration? Bush spoke about LEGAL ISSUES which to me signals a problem with this declaration in regards to CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES...

While I understand everyone's religious and moral convictions about homosexuality can we all just take a moment and STOP knee-jerking on this just because it deals with gays?

The actions that are a problem - again - are the Unconstitutional aspects of this act by our POTUS. If there is ANYTHING in this declaration that includes a mandate regarding OUR LAWS - then Obama is NOT ALLOWED to sign this! There is NOTHING higher than our Constitution and even if we were to agree with EVERYTHING in this declaration - signing it would STILL be wrong!!!

The type of reaction on this thread gives the Gay Activists MORE ammunition to use against us! I'm not suggesting that people give up talking about their personal religious and moral beliefs, but again - HOMOSEXUALITY is NOT the issue here!!! The U.S. Constitution and our nation's sovereignty IS.

I understand what you are saying, and I DO see the efforts of the left to destroy our families, AND our morals, and I see what they are doing to Christianity as well (at least CONSERVATIVE Christianity).

However, in this instance (IMHO) the thing we should be screaming about is how the U.N. and these declarations go against our Constitution... The left (as they did when Bush was asked to sign this) will continue to hit the media saying that we are against this because we’re all “anti-Homosexuals”. I know we can’t really stop them from using this line of attack (it works well for them and the public has been conditioned for this, too), however, we CAN start educating each other on why these declarations are a problem...

This is just the start — how long before Obama starts signing onto OTHER U.N. declarations (like the “Rights of Children” one...). Unless we talk about the legal issues surrounding this, and stop focusing on our personal feelings and beliefs in these regards I don’t see any way we can combat Obama’s actions... We’ll just fall into the same old trap of letting the opposition define this, and we can’t afford to do that any longer — they’ve already got a HUGE head start...

This time homosexuality is being used as a tool to open the door to U.N. control. Because of it's fraudulent "good intentions", people will be more apt to accept it, but it will set a president for other doors to be opened. "If we did it for homosexual rights, certainly we can do it for _______(fill in the Blank)____ as well."

It's all about controlling an ignorant population. Those on the very top are starting to lose control, and they're doing everything in their power right now to keep it.
