Thank you for your career of service Mr. Winter. Sounds like a heck of an aviator..

“Thus far, the White House has not hinted who the nominee might be.”

The most likely candidate will be someone who thinks the Navy needs to be gutted.

I would like to nominate Popeye the Sailor Man. I suspect he would be better than anyone the administration will nominate.

Wesley Clark might be available. Former General who hates the military should fit the bill nicely...

President Obama accepts immediate resignation of Secretary of the Navy, Donald Winters. A White House spokesman says a prominent female candidate who has many years of experience with naval personnel is being considered for the cabinet position.

Good riddance.

As has been covered extensively here on FR, as SecNav Winter played a major role in pushing the disgraceful politically-motivated prosecutions of the Marines in the Haditha prosecutions/”persecutions”. He’s a dishonorable and worthless CYA hack.

The statement “according to the Navy Web site" is used twice to speak to his credentials.

It seems to me that that type of qualification is unnecessary, unless the the Obama administration is preparing to discredit the him for abandoning the “One.”

I suppose it could be that he embellished his resume; but even if he did, it doesn't matter now since he is leaving.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, ya friggin' traitorous POS!

Winter did Murtha's dirty work in the Haditha Marines case. He immediately unleashed 65 NCIS bloodsuckers against our Marines to find convictions any way they could.

One of the very 1st actions he took was PUBLICLY censuring the upper chain of command, (Maj. Gen. Richard A. Huck, formerly the 2nd Marine Division Commanding General, his chief of staff Col. R. Gary Sokoloski, and Col. Stephen W. Davis, the Regimental Combat Team-2 commander), ruining their careers on the grounds that the Marines did not accomodate Taliban Tim McGirk of Time magazine fast enough, creating an atmosphere of Undue Command Influence that has put a stench on this case from the very start.

There are still 2 of the Haditha Marines twisting in the wind - Lt Col Chessani and SSgt Wuterich, 3 years and 4 months after the citywide ambush that the 3/1 fought their way out of.

Jaz or Red, could you ping the list?

Thus far, the White House has not hinted who the nominee might be

Based on Obamas nominations to this point it will probally be someone that thinks that largest US Naval base is located in the middle of Utah.

If Obama plays by the communist rule book, he will replace the top tier of military officials with “reliable” appointments.

Good riddance to bad garbage.
The only thing that scares me now is, what kind of worthless dyke will Dumbo appoint as a successor?

Navy Secretary-Desginate Mabus Can Expect Smooth Sailing, Despite Messy Divorce

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/03/30/navy_secretary-desginate_mabus.html?wprss=44

Mabus

Century 2, Quatrain 62

Mabus plus tost alors mourra, viendra,
De gens & bestes vn horrible defaite:
Puis tout à coup la vengeance on verra,
Cent, main, faim quand courra la comete.

Mabus then will soon die, there will come
A horrible undoing of people and animals:
At once vengeance one will see vengeance,
One hundred hands, thirst, famine, when the comet will run.

Nostradamus’ Third Antichrist has yet to be positively identified. In contrast with his certainty about Napoleon and Hitler, Nostradamus is less clear who this third tyrant is. Perhaps this is an example of his prophetic myopia that enabled him to be clearest about events of local or European history. When contemplating future events in more distant lands, the prophet’s vision tends to be cloudier. What does come through clearly is the fact that this Third and final Antichrist is not a prominent European leader. He may even be a minor player in a future conflict, an insignificant terrorist such as Gavrilo Princip, the Serbian nationalist who assassinated Archduke Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo, triggering World War I.

The man we know as Mabus may be some obscure future terrorist who, if he is not identified and restrained in time, will trigger World War III and the extinction of civilization as we have known it.
