Columbus Townhall Tea Party 15-MARCH-2009
Personal Video of Event posted by me on You Tube. ^ | 16-MAR-2009 | RamingtonStall

Columbus, Ohio was the scene of another in a Rash of Tea Parties across the nation when they hosted the ColumbusTownhall.com Tea Party in front of the State Capital Building on the Ides of March, Sunday, 15-MARCH-2009.

150 Conservative and Libertarian Citizens of Ohio assembled in front of the State Capital building and demonstrated with signs and chants their disgust with what is being done to our country by the Obama Administration and by his "Drive-By" Media enablers.

At approximately 1:30 PM the Group paraded from the Capital building to the Banks of the Scioto River with Signs and somewhat of a Police Escort to make sure we didn't pollute the Scioto River with our Tea Bags.

Not to denigrate the Columbus efforts but I was at the Cincinnati rally yesterday and we had multiple thousands down on Fountain Square. (I don't know how to put a good count on the crowd)

Hi Recon Dad,

Not a problem. Thank you for tuning in and for commenting. I really appreciate it.

I checked the other cities and that is when I noticed that there were really LOTS of Tea Parties. I believe Columbus had at least three, one each on Fri, Sat, and Sun. We were the last.
It wasn’t until the third one that we decided to attend and to video record them and photograph them so we could perhaps reach more people than those who drove past. We hope to do more in the future.

I actually counted people as they walked past me as I looked over the crowd parading past me in my perch up on a 4 foot high wall, so I had a pretty good count at my 150 number.

Meanwhile, I am originally from Northern KY (I even know who Stan Matlock was and how Jim Scott got started at WSAI.) and I am really pleased to see that Cincinnati turned out for a Great Rally. Keep it up and perhaps you can invite me to record the next one?

Joy! ([: ^ )

I don't know how to put a good count on the crowd... Count a group of about 100, then get a firm grip in your mind of how big that space of people is from where you are standing. Estimate how many of those spaces are in the crowd. That will give you a rough estimate.

Thanks for the great Picture. Love the “Repeal the Pork” Sign. Very top Drawer.

Also, love the “Don’t Tread on me” Flag in the background! Keep up the Good work Cincinnati!

With enough notice, I will drive from Columbus and try to film one of your events as this seems to get the message out much better than anything else that I can personally do.

This week we will be filming THE INTERNET SKEPTIC’s Global Warming Dialog and posting it here and on You-tube. This is a great presentation for high schools or groups who want to hear both sides rather than just the Gore-gasm version of Climate Change.

Cheers!
