Of course, many of the tungsten and steel ammos are already banned as “cop-killer” bullets, at least for handguns.
Sending another check to the NRA-ILA to fight this, and so many other assaults upon our Second Amendment rights.
>Lead Ammo Ban by National Park Service an Anti-Hunting Move
They just want to restrict “Politician Season”, I bet. [/cynic]
I was hoping this was a John Semmens article.
Aaahhh Mr National Park Service leftie ville what about the lead that just so happens to occur naturally and sometimes is on the surface of the ground but you would not recognize that AS it is not shaped like a bullet tips but some of these veins would be trillions of bullets in mass. These people are truly Idiots.
Idiots ... I grew up with lead paint being used everywhere, and we played with pure mercury ... letting a drop or two roll aound in our hands ... Acids, too, but not in the hands .... All sorts of stuff to make with chemistry sets —
Flash powder was easyy to make ... firecrackers were common, rockets. 22 rifles for boys ... hunting ...
Baby’s excluded, who in their right mind would eat paint or mercury?
Another angle to a lead ban in the parks is if anyone carried a firearm for protection with lead bullets, they would be arrested.
Say goodbye to hunting with traditional black powder arms.
It was meant to ban GUNS from federal parks for ANY reason.
Must also be anti-fishing.
It’s a power move,,ain’t gonna happen.
With this gun, Sarah Palin can shoot Russians from her house
Love it.
Our tax money pays for this nonsense.
Look for this to also prevent fishing with lead sinkers.....even split shot on a fly line. It will probably be necessary to park your vehicle outside and walk in if you have lead wheel balance weights. Lots of batteries contain lead....probably have to leave them outside the park...wonder how the park rangers will get around.
The environazi’s must be pissed.......lead being the natural “green” material that it is being banned in favor of some confabulated unobtanium bullet buildin material !!
Outrage !!...........:o)
Read the whole thing; it's a thread with important contributions from a lot of freepers connecting various dots. It explains a lot.
The left-wing anti-gun maggots & tree-hugging faggots complained that they should have done an environmental impact study before passing this CCW rule - which ANY THINKING person KNOWS is TOTALLY unecessary.
NOW, they pass this rule, which will give them a reason to arrest you for CCW with standard, LEAD component bullets/rounds in national Parks.
They THINK they are being "cute" with our 2nd Amendment rights, but they will soon find out, that we will NOT stand for this shit.
Don’t worry. The pencil pushing bureaucrats can’t tell lead from Shinola.
I don’t know of any National Park that allows hunting so what difference does it make?
FWIW, I use Remington copper sabots in my 20 gauge slug gun and have killed 4 deer with single shots up to 65 yards.
