Idiots ... I grew up with lead paint being used everywhere, and we played with pure mercury ... letting a drop or two roll aound in our hands ... Acids, too, but not in the hands .... All sorts of stuff to make with chemistry sets —
Flash powder was easyy to make ... firecrackers were common, rockets. 22 rifles for boys ... hunting ...

Baby’s excluded, who in their right mind would eat paint or mercury?

If the local hobby shop that I visited when I was a kid was time-transported to today it would be shut down by the police as a death trap and purveyor of objects of terror.

Lead is everywhere. So lets start the banning with car batteries.

Elemental lead is quite in inherit. A spent round will gather a coating of insoluble lead oxide and remain intact forever. There is a lot of lead in the earth's crust, so if it was as bad as the whack-os make it out to be, we should all be dead.
