HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday. It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.
Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.
I do not belong to the STATE. I really don't give a flying F how they do it in Israel. Israel is mostly another welfare state sucking off the US taxpayer, like NY City.
My children do not belong to the state. My children will not serve in Obama's army of the poor.
I'm not sure the libtards understand how serious this is. It is a line in the sand. They cross it at their own peril.
Well hubby came looking for me so my movie and book will have to wait. Good night all!
Hi April,
Well, I know for a fact that the entire 300 million haven’t decided that - far from it. The 0bama ideologues are far fewer than the number of trendy followers who voted for him, for whatever reason.
I also believe that as the non-ideologically committed start to emerge from their 0bama cloud, they will not be that loyal to what he’s trying to do. And the left, as always, will over-reach, early and often and with great arrogance.
It’s not over. Far from it.

I thank you, sir. I understand that we are not sitting like a bunch of mushrooms in the dark, but who are our leaders? What information have they provided? We need people in Congress that will take up our cause and I can’t find them!
I thank God every day for having the ability to see the truth on blogs, FR, etc.
Yes, you’re right that we are not sitting blindly and stupid in the corner. We fax, send emails, make calls have peaceful demonstrations but nothing is organized by the leaders of the GOP.
I’m frustrated, angry and disgusted that BO is treating this great country like his personal toilet.
It’s short for the “Corporation for National and Community Service.” More than that, I don’t know. Yet.
Don’t know for sure...

Are we going to have to start all over?
Being atheist libtards they and their children are hollow inside. They need this fill them up. We do no.
Please, dear God, let us separate now and go our own ways. The time of this union is at an end. Let us have the wisdom to part peacefully as I have no desire to continue the nightmare which the East seems intent upon.

Yes, all these bills coming fast and furious in the last few weeks, hundreds of pages of legalese, these things have been planned and written long ago, as just waiting for the right moment to unload the whole pile of garbage at once
Please put me on your ping list, thanks!
I thought Carolyn McCarthy’s name rang a bell. From Wikipedia:
On December 7, 1993, her husband, Dennis, was killed and her son, Kevin, severely injured, on a Long Island Rail Road commuter train at the Merillon Avenue station, when a mass murderer, Colin Ferguson, opened fire on random unarmed passengers.[4] Ferguson killed six and wounded 19 others.[5] McCarthy responded to the crime by launching a campaign for additional gun control measures that eventually propelled her to Congress in 1996 on the Democratic ticket.
I’m smiling reading that....
“We conservatives better learn to get off our asses and hit the streets soon.”
The conservatives seem to think they might be able to vote themselves out of this, maybe, maybe not. We’ll see what voting in America is like in 2012. I’m not so sure that all will be well, if you know what I mean.
The conservatives are counting on a system, a foundation that they have become used to being there for them.
If it’s not there, if we fail to defend it, they will have no recourse as citizens, will they?
I gotta tell ya...I’m not so sure that the “new conservative” movement isn’t involved in the new “CHANGE”.
There are quite a few things that really make me wonder.
The conservative “leaders” are acting like they’ve been possessed. As if they were unable to mount any opposition whatsoever. It’s very strange, very suspect to me.
They should be as angry as we are, they should be rallying people to fight the power mongers.
They’re not.
They’re no where to be found.
They have stepped aside, or so it would seem.
So much so, that a certain talk show host is being referred to BY THE GOVERNMENT as the “leader of the Republican Party”.
One of the few voices speaking out against the new government, a private citizen, and the government is going after him—actively trying to demonize him.
Are you all getting this? Something is off. I can’t quite put my finger on it. But something is going on.
There were loads of Republicans fighting Clinton—they impeached him. Where are even a few outspoken critics of the new government?
They are no where to be found.
The silence is very strange.
Yankee Doodle went to town...
Indeed the big question. Steele - nope. Palin - nope (Maybe a good second in command). Limbaugh - nope. Jingal, Huckabee, - nope nope.
You? Me? Someone we do not know now??? (And no, I am not advocating me). Is there someone out there we can tie our wagon to? There is no one out there that inspires me.
It must be someone beyond a Reagan...It sounds cheezy, but if we are to get back to fundamentals, it must be someone who inspires George Washington type feelings in each of us.
I have no answers nor recommendations...just a desire to find who it is.
I don't know that I'd call them "badass",they were highly disciplined though. They were scared out of their wits, but they did what needed to be done.
Petraeus?
