HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

I thought that too. Until I heard exactly how it would happen. Until I heard why citizens are stock piling. Why survivalists are teaching groups just in case. My understanding is the military and law enforcement will be among the ones who decide if it happens.

I don’t have an issue with this if it makes people who get free money for college, welfare payments, EIC bennies, WIC payments, unemployment, and anything possible penny from the government. You need to pay for it through volunteering, forced volunteering or otherwise. Otherwise I don’t support this at all.

I think they used to call that "a job", and what you did at it was called "work".
